Question:
Hi, Im looking for a replacement wiring harness for a 2003 f350. I need it to be a 7way and, if possible, I wouldnt mind having a 4way with it as well. I just figured Id check with you guys instead of going through the process and potentially buying the wrong thing. Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time and your help.

Assuming your existing factory 7-way has been damaged or has gotten corroded or worn over the years, go with the Hopkins # HM40975 which provides both a 4-pole and a 7-way. Simply unplug the tow package wiring harness from the rear of your existing 7-way, remove the 7-way and its bracket, and install the # HM40975. Using a small amount of dielectric grease like part # 11755.
This is actually the same connector used on current model Ford Trucks. You can see an install video by clicking the provided link.
The Tow Ready # 118243 you referenced isn't compatible with Ford trucks manufactured after 2001.
