What are the Wires at Each End of Dexter 3500 Pound EZ Lube Axle # T3584F-EZ-8974

Question:
I looked in the Q and A, but found no answer. What are those pinkish/brown wires that hang out at each end of the axle used for? Thank you

Expert Reply:
The wiring that you see on axle # T3584F-EZ-8974 is for electric brakes. So you would run the wiring back to one side of the axle, make the splices for the brakes on that side and, instead of running your own wire, it is already run through the axle. So all you will have to do is splice in the brake magnets on the other side. Take a look at the video I have linked. It is mentioned near the end of the video.
