How Often Should Dexter EZ-Flex Equalizers Get Greased

Question:

Hello. I would like to know if there is any maintenance grease that would need to be done on this product, please? Specifically, where to grease, how often, and what type of grease does Dexter recommend, please? This product is new to me. And I am considering installing it on y fifth wheel. With that said, I think it a good idea to familiarize myself with the product and its maintenance. If any that be! Ignorance is bliss, as they say! Along with this product, I am also considering installing Correct Track on the same fifth wheel. Are these two products, EZ-Flex, and Correct Track compatible with each other? Finally, one last product inquiry. I am also considering installing the Lippert Shock Kit for 3inch axles. Again, with everything I intend to install, will this product be compatible as well? Assuming I install everything listed. Will this product give me noticeable, added suspension benefits combined with the EZ-Flex? Or is it a nominal difference? My apologies for bombarding you with all of these product questions. It actually snowballed as I was typing this message! They all work on the same component of the fifth wheel. So I figured I would ask all at once. I hope you do not mind. If there is anything I left out or anything you could add, please by all means do! Or perhaps offer another product that would suit my needs better. Which is square axles and a better suspension system. If there is a video or illustration regarding the maintenance questions, please kindly include that, please. I thank you in advance and look forward to obtaining your expert answers. Be well! Best regards,

I spoke to my contact at Dexter and he informed me that they recommend greasing the E-Z Flex equalizers every three months or 3,000 miles. I also attached a pretty helpful guide to how often trailer components should be maintained.

For grease Dexter recommends wheel bearing grease. For that we recommend the red grease part # L11390.

A shock kit would help your trailer and would work well with the EZ Flex system but since you said you have square axles we don't have a kit for that. The # LC281281 that you referenced comes with U-bolts for a round axle.
