Recommended 12 Inch Hitch Extender to Flat Tow Chevy Silverado Behind RV

Question:

I need to pull a chevy Silverado half ton pickup behind an RV. I need a 2inch - 12inch or 18inch extension for clearance. The commonly available extenders support 3500 lb tow. The truck is a little over 5000 lbs. Do you have this type extender?

I recommend going with Blue Ox Hitch Extender for Tow Bars # BX88264. This extender fits 2" hitches, has a 12" extension and a towing capacity of 10,000 pounds.

I spoke with my contact at Blue Ox and she confirmed that extender # BX88264 can used to flat tow your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 as long as you are within the capacities of the unit.
