Question:

What size wrench do I need for my: Curt Balls - 40038 Ball diameter: 2 Shank diameter: 1 Shank Length: 2-1/4 Wrench flats: 1-5/8 Is it 1 7/16? Do you carry those?

Expert Reply:

Curt hitch ball # 40038 has a 1 inch diameter shank. For Curt balls with 3/4 or 1 inch diameter shanks you would use wrench # C20001. The nut on that ball should use the 1-1/2 inch end of the wrench.

You could also use a large crescent wrench if you have one large enough.
