Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this CURT six-point hex box-end wrench for trailer hitch balls with a three-quarter inch or one inch diameter shank. Now this is a nice, sturdy, easy to use ball wrench. This will make tightening your hitch ball to your ball mount a breeze. The length on this from one end to the other is 15 1/2 inches long. This will give you adequate leverage for proper torquing of your hitch ball.
And we mentioned the six-point hex pattern, you can see on this one and on this one. This will ensure the best grip, protects against rounding of the nut, and it offers two different hex head sizes. It'll fit shanks with three-quarter inch or one inch diameters. Basically on this end, it's stamped one and one-eighth. This one will work for the hitch balls with the three-quarter inch shank, and the larger one over here that's marked one and a half inches.
This will fit the hitch balls that have one inch shanks. This is a nice forged hardened steel construction, and it is protected by a nice durable chrome plating. But that should do it for the review on this CURT six-point hex box-end wrench for trailer hitch balls with a three-quarter inch or one inch diameter shank.

Sturdy, easy-to-use ball wrench makes tightening your hitch ball to your ball mount or drawbar a breeze. Even though I read some reviews before purchase that commented on the sharp plating edges, I ended up cutting my hand on the shards of metal that protruded from the metal edges. Ten or fifteen minutes of work with a file cleaned up the hazardous sharp edges, but removed the chrome so the wrench will rust more easily if not kept clean and dry. The wrench arrived with a small amount of rust. That's OK...I expect utility, not beauty from this tool. It is an inexpensive tool, and I hope to get good use from it.
Provided even contact on nut walls and plenty of leverage. I used my trailer hitch to support the ball mount (rather than a shop vise), with the ball facing down. Much better than using a pipe wrench.
I can't believe how great this wrench is considering how low the price was. I regret not buying one of these years ago. No more abusing hitch balls with a pipe wrench because I don't have the right-sized wrench!
Didn't realize that I needed a wrench this big and that it did even exist until I tried to bolt on the 2" hitch ball. Nothing comes close in price and gets the job done just fine.
It does the job! It's a wrench! It turns the bolt! It's made in China and the label that displays the brand name of the wench is put on with the stickiest glue on the planet. You know, the kind of glue that once you take the label off the glue is still there. So you take soap and a scrubby to it, but all the glue does is move around on the metal and lump together. And then you try hot water, and that smears the glue from lumpy to all over. So you get a piece of steel wool, as surely that will remove the glue, and yes, some does come off the wrench to stick to the steel wool. Finally you give up with the glue thing and use the wrench, and you end up with a sticky hand, and then you do some other trailer type things that render your hand dirty and greasy, grab the wrench again, and viola! You now have a wrench that is coated with sticky, dirty, grease. So you grab a paper towel... and now you have a wrench with glue, grease, dirt, and paper towel stuck to it. So you get the Acetone. And that removes everything. I recommend starting with the acetone.
Well, it's a wrench and it does what a wrench should do. And it's made in Taiwan, which is a step above China made stuff. If it were made in the US, I would have given it top marks.

Makes mounting trailer balls to a hitch a breeze!
This wrench is just what I needed for the ball hitch. I think the 6-point is great for the torque needed. Thanks for a great price and fast shipping. Robert
It's a wrench, what can I say? Fit my 3/4 and my 1 inch trailer ball nuts as advertised. Made in China.
Great tools to have. Easy installation. Everything works as expected.
just received my order and was very happy everything came as I ordered. I am also very pleased it arrived faster than I thought it would and that a follow up e-mail was sent to make sure I was happy. I will definitely order from Etrailer again.
Didn't even know these existed! Nice to keep in the vehicle so I can always change ball sizes on my hitch.
Handy wrench for dealing with hitch ball of the most popular shank sizes
we just received these item , can not tell till we try them in September so time will tell. hopefully they will be perfect, which I am sure they will be.
It's a big wrench. It did it's job and tightened a nut. I haven't tried it yet to loosen a nut, but I expect it'll do just fine

Great for putting different balls on the various hitches i have. A better fit than the 18 inch adjustable wrench I normally use
Great tool to have for replacing ball m ount.
Great for its intended purposes and for fending off bears.
Have already used it and it worked great. Plenty of leverage and I like that it has 6 sides to grip the nut better.
Haven't needed to use it.
Nice wrench..Worked just like it was supposed to...I don't like the sticker..Impossible to remove, so i just taped over it so i would not be left with all the sticky residue.
It's a wrench and it works.
Can't beat the price for a wrench of this size ... works great!
Did what it was supposed to do. Quality appears to be excellent. Fast Shipping.
Fit tight and and the length made the task easy.
