Question:
I have a 2005 Xterra that I would like to install a hitch on, and am wonder if I can add this part if I purchase the OEM relay I need. There are already two plugs on the rear drivers side, so Im thinking why get the other kit and run wiring when it is already there. Am I missing something or can I just get this kit and the OEM relay that I need? Thanks!

In order to use the T-1 Harness, part # 118263 on an Xterra without the factory tow package, in addition to the relay, you will also need the jumper harness. The harness is a dealer supplied part.
Once you purchase the T-1, the relay, and the jumper harness you will have spent quite a few dollars, when you could purchase the Hopkins Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 43605. You would spend a bit more time installing it, but it would probably be less expensive.
