Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra RV waste valve. This unit simply adds or replaces a waste valve in your RV's waste system. It's made from a strong and durable black plastic construction. It does come with an end cap right here for the drain outlet. The cap is tethered to the unit so you don't worry about accidentally losing that or misplacing it. The cap's going to have the appropriate seal to create a nice tight connection point to keep anything from seeping out. This right here is going to be your bayonet hub fitting or hub connection.
This will accept your standard 3 inch diameter drain hose with a bayonet style fitting. Four pin design, so it will accept bayonet style fittings with either a two hook or four hook design. The cap that it comes with is going to have a two hook design. The other side is going to feature a 3 inch spigot. If we take a measure of the outer diameter it's going to measure 3 and 1/2, inner diameter's right on 3 inches. The unit also feature the easily accessible T handle. Makes opening and closing the gate quick and easy.
This is a 3 inch blade X valve. You're going to see here, opens and closes. The unit is already assembled and has the appropriate seals installed for leak proof performance. A few measurements I just want to go over with you real quick. If you measure this direction, bottom to top with the handle in the closed position, this is going to give us a measurement of right around 9 and 1/2 inches and then if we move the handle to the open position, overall length measurement, looks like it's going to be a little bit closer to 13 inches long.
