Hello Keith,

I am happy to hear that you have a warm place to do the work, I am not sure where you are located but here in Missouri it's pretty cold today!

Valterra waste valves aren’t directional, meaning they can handle waste flow in either direction. However, the fittings on the valve, like the Male Pipe Thread (MPT) and bayonet connections are designed for specific uses. So, however your fittings match up, will be the way it installs.

I hope this was helpful, let me know how it all goes. Happy Holidays to you and your family from your friends here at etrailer.

Hello Kate F, Thanks for the quick reply, btw it's 34 degrees and windy here in Tennessee also. So what I need is a Valtera Bladex Waste Valve with 3" MPT on one side and a bayonet connection on the other. I've been unable to find this combination much less a p/n as I am trying to keep this plumbing as short/compact as possible. It seems to me that these different flanges, or what I'll call flanges on each side of the valve, would be interchangeable. This is what I'm really looking for, or perhaps y'all might know of another option? I really appreciate your assistance, Keith

@Keith Ya, you are not going to find those fitting together. Your best bet would be to get the # T40C and # T1028 and attach them using some ABS solvent cement like # A05-0303. I know its not as compact as you would like it, but it's the only option I can see that will work. I love Tennessee, was going to try to get out there again this summer. Fall Creek Falls park is still one of my favorite hikes I have been on.

@KateF Kate, I had it wrong in my last message, what I need is a Valtera Bladex Waste Valve with 3" MPT on one side and a Lug connection on the other. My hose has the bayonet fitting...sorry about that. On another subject, will the MaxxAir MA76JR Cover install on a standard 14" x 14" roof vent fan? I really appreciate your help and by the way Fall Creek Falls is a great State park! Keith

@Keith No Problem! It would be the same for that, you will still want the # T40C, then you will have to connect the # T1029-2 with some ABS solvent cement. The # MA76JR will work just as long as it is a manual lift and not powered. It was designed for 2015 and newer-model MaxxFan and MaxxFan Plus roof vents, but works on most others. If you want to shoot me the model number I am happy to double check.
