Installing a roof rack on a curved roof can be a hassle, but with the Yakima SightLine Towers, you'll enjoy an easy installation thanks to its adjustable tower pitch. It allows you to adjust the pitch 6 degrees forward or backward, ensuring your crossbars stay level, no matter how sloped your vehicle's roof may be. This feature makes it a go-to for ensuring a perfectly aligned setup that enhances both functionality and aesthetics.
Finding compatible crossbars can be a nightmare, but the SightLine Towers come with versatile BarBeds that automatically adjust during installation. They accommodate Yakima CoreBar, JetStream, and even RoundBar crossbars with an adapter, making them a highly adaptable solution if you have different bar shapes. It gives you the freedom to choose the bars that best suit your needs without worrying about fit.
Say goodbye to noisy roof racks and the constant worry of theft with Yakima's SightLine Towers. Designed to be quiet and low-profile, their integrated connection minimizes whistling noises and vibrations. Additionally, they are compatible with Yakima’s Same Key System (SKS) lock cores for added security. The locks are discreetly hidden behind the tower’s cover, giving you peace of mind, knowing your setup is secure.
The installation process can often be intimidating, but Yakima takes the guesswork out with an included torque tool. This not only simplifies the setup but also ensures optimum tightness. When the tool clicks three times, you know your clips are perfectly secured, eliminating doubts about under- or over-tightening—ideal for a confident, worry-free installation.
For those looking to carry hefty loads, the Yakima SightLine Towers are engineered to support up to 165 pounds. This ensures that whether you’re hauling sports equipment or travel gear, your setup can handle it all. Always check your vehicle's maximum roof load capacity to stay within limits, but enjoy knowing your towers are ready for big jobs.
Durability is key for roof racks facing varied weather conditions. The Yakima SightLine Towers boast a tough construction with weather-resistant stainless steel, glass-reinforced plastic, and elastomer. This resilient combo withstands elements ensuring long-lasting performance, leaving you free to explore any terrain without worry.

Easy installation on a '25 Kia Sportage hybrid. I installed with round crossbars and both the towers and the crossbars clear the fully opened moon-roof.
Sightline Towers(along with #82 Sightclips)are a perfect fit on my 2024 Mazda CX-90 even though not confirmed by etrailer (Yakima HQ did confirm it though). ETrailer’s sales support staff was super helpful in getting this figured out. Yakima’s instructions are very thorough—follow their measurements! Mazda has four locator holes on the flush rails for positioning the Sightline towers—use them. Note, I reused my Jetstream crossbars, hence them looking a tad weathered.
Works well, after getting them in place. On my Kia Sorrento it's very tricky to get the towers to fit the holes in the factory rails -- takes a lot of loosening and readjusting the bars.
One quick phone call and Gwendolyn figured out exactly what I needed for our new car to use my old Yakima rack.
Pretty straight forward installation. Instructions were easy to follow.
Order was easy to place and delivered in less than a week as promised. The sales advice was perfect fit despite multiple pieces having been ordered. Used the rack once and very sturdy
Works as expected and feels solid
