Big loads can cause serious rear-end sag that throws off steering and braking. These SumoSprings Maxim helper springs add up to 5,000 lbs of support at 50-percent compression to keep your ride level and steady. They attach at both the top and bottom so you have constant support—even when unloaded. With progressive load control, the springs compress easily for light loads and firm up as weight increases, keeping your suspension balanced and your handling predictable.
When uneven pavement or potholes hit, the microcellular urethane material cushions bumps and road shock before they reach the cabin. Fronts install fairly easy... Rears came with one "Tang" bent, but a hammer took care of that...
ordering and shipment were spot on. I have not installed the product yet.
Fit perfect and easy to install after figuring out how to install. 2 bolts missing and no instructions in box.
A bit harder to install with the dual tires on but followed the instructions and had no issues with the installation. Felt the difference the first time out. Courtney was great to work with, recommend that you go to her for help.
The use of this Sumo springs has greatly cut down the sway of Thor Chateau motor home with Ford E350 chassis. Very glad to have installed them. Strongly recommend them for any RV’er who has difficulty with driving any motorhome due to sway.
Added these rears and also did fronts at the same time. Did the install myself. Took longer than I thought it would, but not bad if you have some mechanical ability. If you do be very careful while drilling the holes on the drivers side as the instructions state, the brake lines are right there and if you don’t put some kind of block between the lines and frame you may damage those lines. Adding the front and rears has improved the handling of driving our motorhome greatly. Just drove 800 miles since installing and the stress from driving was so much less. Hardly noticed the winds and semi’s. Would recommend this product.
2019 Thor Outlaw 29J I've only driven this RV for about 1800 miles.
I don't know if I could rate these any higher. I ordered both the front and rear Sumosprings and the fronts arrived earlier than the rear, so I went ahead and installed them and went for a 100 mile test drive. Night and day difference, no more harsh ride in the front, and a lot less pogoing. Now I can't wait until the rears come in and I can test those.
Much harder to I stall than the front units. You need a strong jack, jack stands and a powerful drill. Be very careful about the wires and brake lines inside the chassis. Be prepared to remove the rear wheels, which is a challenge on a dually. It can be done at home, but you need to be pretty handy and very careful. It took me about 2 hours per side, being careful as I went. However, combined with the front helpers they work superbly. The vastly reduce body roll and pitch and make the ride much better. They make the camper much easier to steer as well. Consider having them installed professionally if you are not mechanically adept, but they are well worth the purchase price.

I am sure these are very good, the only reason for the low rating is to get attention so no one makes the same mistake like i did.
These DONOT FIT on a 2018 Jayco Greyhawk equipped with the JRide suspension. The Heliwig helper springs are in the way.
etrailer application guide needs to be updated, the picture attached show the Heliwigs are in the way.
It seems to be taking care of our bottoming out problem. We’ve only taken it a short distance so time will tell. The old airbags had to be removed and new holes drilled but other than that they was relatively easy to install.
The OEM front axle springs are useless. You really need these. A very easy DIY fix to your RV chassis. They'll definitely help with the extra weight we added.
