Parts to Improve Ride Quality on 2025 Jayco Greyhawk 27U

Updated 08/27/2025 | Published 08/24/2025

Question:

I own a 2025 Jayco Greyhawk 27U. The ride is terrible, and I want to do a suspension upgrade. From my research, its been suggested that I get a Hellwig front sway bar it has a rear 1-1/2 diameter sway bar already, sumo springs, and better shocks. What additional or other suggestions might you have.

Hi Ed; unfortunately, that is a pretty common problem with new motorhomes. The front and rear anti-sway bar are typically the best way to start so adding the Hellwig Front Anti-Sway Bar # HE26GR is a great idea. After that, I recommend a steering stabilizer. The Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer # RM47MR will drastically improve steering and really cut down on fatigue.

Since you have the rear anti-sway bar, do you have the JRide Plus package? That comes with the Koni shocks already along with Hellwig helper springs. If you want to go ahead and install SumoSprings # SSR-130-54 (rear) and # SSF-106-40 (front) they will add additional help on top of everything else. If you don't have JRide you can add the # SSR-106-47-1 for the rear which have a higher capacity and would be a better choice for a motorhome.

Any big trips coming up once you get all your upgrades installed?

Thanks for the reply. Our motorhome did come with the JRide Plus package, and yet we lost a hub cap, the microwave door came loose and off its hinge, and storage doors opened all because of the rough rides on some interstates on our maiden voyage. That's why I'm inquiring about a suspension upgrade.

@EdG wow! I'm sorry to hear that, sounds like a really bad day. I would definitely add the SumoSprings then it doesn't sound like what they put on is doing a whole lot to help.
