Today we're going to review part number RP83002. This is the Reese Lube Plate for Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches in a 10" diameter. This lube plate will prevent scratches on your skid plate of your 5th wheel trailer hitch and let's your trailer king pin slide into the hitch with ease. There's no need for any messy grease. The lube plate gives you the lubrication you need. It does offer extra protection with the large surface area and it is constructed of very durable nylon material. Just to give you an idea, this is what the king pin would look like that's on your pin box of your trailer. All you need to do is before you connect to your 5th wheel hitch, put your lube plate on there and then that'll slide into your 5th wheel hitch and give you the protection and lubrication that's needed.
Again the application on this is for Reese 5th wheel trailer hitches with 16,000 pound and 22,000 pound capacities. A few dimensions on this. The diameter again is 10" and the thickness on the plate itself is 3/16". Teflon lube plateThis is the second one I have bought. The last was on my previous fifth wheel which has been over 14 years. I probably should have changed it sooner but it still worked.

Packaging was very good. Now that I have it, I don’t know if the thickness of the plate will have a negative effect on the pin’s vertical alignment.

lubricated, it lasts a long time, If you are a 1st time 5th wheel owner
you need to get one of these, it just pushes up over the king pin and stays there, it will not effect loading and unloading your 5th wheel.

THE REESE 5TH WHEEL LUBE PLATE IS WORKING JUST FINE. ITS A VERY HEAVY DUTY PLATE, AND IM SURE IT WILL LAST A LONG TIME. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND ETRAILER FOR ALL TRAILER NEEDS.
It was a simple order for 5th wheel poly lube plates. It was filled promptly, shipped immediately, received in excellent condition, and at a good price.

This lube plate has been installed but only briefly used. Ive used larger ones on my big class 8 trailers and they work fine. It does the job and eliminates the need to grease a 5th wheel hitch plate which keeps things much cleaner.
I used this plays only a few times. It sounded like a good idea to avoid all the grease on the hitch plate. Unfortunately, it only lasted a few times and then was torn during a connection and I had to throw it away. Back to the grease.
This Head assembly is very well built, I purchase this so when I get a fifth wheel trailer I will be able to tow with confidence. I purchased the base unit used. So I'm all set to tow whatever trailer I purchase!
