Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Roadmaster Guardian Rock Guard, part number RM-4000. When we go to flat tow a vehicle, we have a lot of issues with road debris flying up and hitting the front of our vehicle. Whether it be rocks or gravel or anything else, we don't want the paint to be scratched, let alone a headlight broken. Our Guardian's going to protect the front of our vehicle and make sure the paint stays in nice condition, as well as the headlights. Our Guardian's going to be made out of a molded polyethylene material with a hollow core, so it's going to be extremely durable but also very lightweight.Now our Guardian is going to be compatible with all Roadmaster base plates that have the quick disconnect style crossbar, which is sold separately. This center section of our Guardian is going to be attached directly to the base plate on a bracket, and the two side panels are going to have a connecting rod that's going to connect those to the center.
Now, because of its design, we're going to be able to remove in a manner of seconds and actually fold the sides in for a smaller footprint so we can store it.One of the nice things about our Guardian is that it does remove extremely easily and is easy to store. We can simply just pull those pins out, loosen up those thumb screws and we can pull the whole assembly off and set it aside. And that will finish up your look at the Roadmaster Guardian Rock Guard, part number RM-4000.

The Roadmaster Guardian is very well made and fit my vehicle perfectly. It is lightweight, but certainly strong enough to protect my truck.

I purchased the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit w/ Removable Arms, The Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar, Quick Disconnect Crossbar, Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, and Roadmaster Guardian Rock Guard in order to tow my 2020 Ford Raptor behind my Class A. Everything bolted on beautifully and the craftsmanship was fantastic. Ordering from etrailer was easy and the parts arrived within a few days with no problem. I watched numerous [online] videos to learn how to install everything and they saved me a lot of time. Overall, I'm very happy.
Works great with my tow bar system and protects my tow vehicle very well.

The rock guard is easy to install. It provides a good amount of protection for the vehicle. It is light fairly light weight sturdy.
I use it on my Ford Xplorer along with the roadmaster rowboat and vehicle brackets
I won't have a chance to actually use this for a couple of weeks, but I have no reason to doubt I will be highly pleased with it as others have been. For now, I just want everyone to know what a FANTASTIC place etrailer is to do business with. My Guardian arrived much sooner than I expected. This is a company that really delivers. Best company I have ever dealt with. I will update my review later. If you are going to get this, I highly recommend the Stowawy which allows you to easily store the Guardian on the hitch receiver on your motorhome.
Could not use it, had to change to the Defender - I miss ordered this unit
The parts and hardware all arrived in good shape despite the beat up condition of the box. It was easy to assemble and provided everything I needed to mount to my Roadmaster Tow dolly. Easy to remove the guard and fold up for storage inside. It was a bit expensive, but I'm hoping it will save the front hood and windshield of my Mini.
We have lots of stones on Idaho's roads so I wanted to protect the front end of my ranger while towing it. This guard is nothing to mount on the baseplate and should help much in preventing most of the rock chips.
a good solid product by Roadmaster that looks to protect the front end of my Jeep Grand Cherokee . the install went well with only one small problem, the Stowmaster tow bar pop-ups interfere with the RM-4000 when in the store position. Other than that it is a well built product.
Once you install the guardian carrier installing the Guardian is a breeze. The important step in the installation of the carrier and the guardian is driving your car onto the dolly to make adjustments to the carrier and guardian reference your vehicle. After you get it all together lt looks good and works. I'd buy it again.
I received the RM-400 on time, watched the installation video and installed it. I haven't used it yet but I'm confident it will do the job keeping the front end of our car protected while towing behind the motorhome.
However, the box didn't have the thumb screws.
The product arrived in two business days, absolutely amazing. Installation was easy and works great. What else can you say? Roadmaster items are well engineered and and always work together when they say it does. As long as you do the research on products, etrailer gets it to you fast.
The Rock Guard that came is as I ordered. As i had faith it would be. My first time ordering from them. They told me that it was in stock and that it would be shipped the next day and when it would arrive....It all took place...Keep up the good work.
Received a day earlier than expected. Janice took my order and walked me thru the process on how it attached it. She was right on. Looks good on my 2007 Ford Ranger. Took about a half hour to mount. Every time I order from etrailer. It's always the right part I needed.
