Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a brief look at this fantastic vent replacement lift arm. This is going to replace the lift arm for your Fantastic Vent RV roof vent with the flat lid. And this includes everything that you see here. You're going to get this replacement lift arm with two screws to mount this. And this lift arm is exactly like the one that you are needing to replace.
It is directly from Fantastic Vent so you can have the confidence that this is going to fit right in place of the original. You're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that. Now I do wanna put on the screen some measurements. I thought it would be easier to show you a diagram than trying to lay a ruler on this. This is just to help you be confident that this is indeed going to work for you.
The first measurement there, that's three inches. That is the mounting holes and that is being measured there center to center, so you have three inches on center there with the mounting holes and then the overall length of the actual lift arm is six and a half inches. So if you are needing to replace the lift arm on your Fantastic Vent RV roof vent with a flat lid this is going to be exactly what you need. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. Fixed my 2001 Chinook Concourse, Fan-Tastic 6000A vent. Item arrived this morning. Installed in 5 minutes or less. Measurements of factory vs replacement were exact.
Exact match as a replacement.
I managed to back under a low opening and broke my original lid and bent the control arm. This was an exact replacement, fit perfectly, and installed easily. Really glad I could buy both lid and arm rather than a $500 complete unit. Lid closes completely, and seals tight. Good as original as far as I can tell.

Be sure to measure first: this one fit the Dometic Fan perfectly! Purchased the smaller one first (didn't measure). Installation was simple and quick. Lauren was great assisting me with the proper purchase.

When I installed the motors I found the issue with the Lift Arm not working properly. I repaired that and it is working properly and for that reason I like to to return both of them (as I only needed one)and receive the monetary credit.I only opened one box and never used it at all and the other one is still in the sealed unopened box. I appreciate your help with this return and credit.

Exact replacement! Than you.
The part that was sent is incorrect. If you look carefully at the photo of the part on this web page, there is a nylon stepped washer at the end of the lift arm. The arm that was shipped has the washer on the opposite side of the arm. This arm will not work. I've attached a photo of the original arm and a blow-up view that clearly shows the washer on the opposite side of the arm that was shipped. After 4 calls to Kelly over the past week, she has not returned my calls.

Fast service. Part worked perfectly and took about ten minutes to fix. Would have like to order through Amazon Prime for free shipping but this was still a good deal.
The replacement lift arm is exactly as shown and described. The arm is actually made better than the broken arm it replaced. My Fan-Tastic fan is working nicely again. The etrailer site is very informative. Shipping was fast and the cost was reasonable.
Ordered the wrong part and after noticing error re ordered next day. After speaking to Customer Service was advised item already shipped, however no tracking done until approx 4 days later with parcel arriving on the 23rd, which was just shy of 3 weeks. Because of cost of item not with even returning.
Turned out to not be the correct part. The wheel on the arm is on the opposite side from the original. Had it installed while other work was being done on our trailer and works with a little help using the manual function.
