Go Tankless or Go Home

Tankless Water Heater

Say goodbye to quick, military-style showers, refilling your tank, and waiting for the hot water to recover. This revolutionary design replaces your outdated tank heater and gives you the luxury of taking back-to-back showers, washing dishes, and running a load of laundry all at once. Unlike traditional tank heaters that require constant energy to keep your water hot, this tankless, propane-fueled water heater only uses energy when you turn on your faucet or shower, providing the ultimate efficiency at a campground or off-the-grid. The endless, on-demand hot water has no recovery time and is perfect if you're on the road full-time or traveling with a large group.

Relaxing Showers without Scalding or Freezing

Vortex Pic

Has your warm and relaxing shower ever been interrupted by a cruel burst of ice-cold water? Perhaps you've been the victim of a scorching surge of hot water that scalds you and sends you dancing out of harm's way. Either way, it's the worst, but those days are over. Furrion's vortex technology is designed to eliminate those dreaded hot and cold water fluctuations by consistently mixing hot and cold water together to reach your desired temperature, ensuring those warm, comfortable showers.

Safety First

This state-of-the-art technology is equipped with built-in safety measures to ensure you, your family, and your RV stay out of harm's way.

Its dual temperature sensors automatically shut off power if the water temperature exceeds 149 F, preventing the unit from overheating while also reducing the risk of hot water scalding. The unit also has a flame monitoring feature that cuts off the gas supply if the flame goes out to prevent gas from leaking inside your RV and a built-in safety valve that allows pressure to vent at 87 psi to prevent excess pressure and heat build-up.

Anti-Freeze Control Board

This tankless water heater features a control board to keep itself warm when temperatures drop. Freezing water can damage the unit, so an internal thermostat monitors water temperature and will turn the heat on automatically when it gets too cold. This feature will only work if the water heater is receiving power and gas. You will need to remember to winterize the water heater before storage over the winter.

  • Replacement Water Heater For Atwood 96121 Water Heater
The Atwood 96121, our part number # AT96121 is no longer available from the manufacturer, however I do have another solution. The Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR48SR is listed as a direct replacement for the Atwood 96121 water heater, and measures 2-5/8" wide, 12-5/8" tall, and 19-1/4" deep. This is a tankless water heater that produces up to 144 gallons of hot water per hour, and will provide endless hot water on demand.

  • Recommended Tankless Replacement For An Atwood GC6AA-10E RV Water Heater
Hi Wes, All newer water heater models are transitioning to smaller sizes as the technology gets better so you'll likely have a gap regardless of which unit you choose to go with. There's typically framing around the water heater so you'll just need to add in some 2" x 2" boards to fill in the gap and give the mounting flange of the new unit something to grab onto when mounting. I've attached a video below where Jake had to do this in order to install the # FR93FR. These units come with...

  • Will The Furrion Tankless Water Heater Be A Good Replacement For An Atwood GC6AA-10E
The Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR48SR would be the correct choice to replace your Atwood GC6AA-10E in terms of size. The unit has a depth of 19-1/4" so you'd have about 3/4" for your water and gas hookups, so you might need to change out your fittings to ones with a 90 degree bend in order to get them in place. These units require both propane and 12v DC power in order to operate. The propane fuels the heat and the 12v powers the electronics that control the heat output. You power...

  • Replacement Water Heater for an Atwood G6A6 6 Gallon Water Heater
Thank you for all of the pictures and information! The Atwood line of water heaters went out of business a number of years ago so to replace your water heater I highly recommend the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR48SR because it has superior performance to the older tank-style heaters and is more efficient as well. Please note that the installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency, or gas supplier.

  • Recommended Replacement Water Heater For Travel Trailer
Hi Paul, To replace the water heater on your Sunchaser travel trailer, I definitely recommend a tankless water heater. Reason why is these give you hot water immediately so you don't have to wait around for it get hot, and because they save a ton of energy. The majority of RV water heaters nowadays are going to be tankless as they're just a better product than heaters with tanks, so it's the way to go. The most reliable option for this is from Furrion, and their heaters will fit compartments...

Furrion/Lippert love to change the part numbers constantly on their products so it can be a bit tricky to find exactly what you're looking for if you don't know the right places to look. • Replacement Tankless Water Heater and Mini Fridge for a 1991 Fleetwood Wilderness
Thanks for reaching out, Greg! To replace your water heater I recommend going with the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR48SR because it has similar cutout dimensions, and comes with a 16-1/8" tall x 18-1/8" wide access door so it will fit really well. As for a refrigerator, the closest thing we have to what you're wanting is the Stainless Steel Everchill RV Mini Fridge - 4.5 cu ft which measures 19W x 21-1/2D x 43-1/2T Inch and comes with either the left-hand handle configuration...

  • Recommended Replacement For A Dometic GC10A-4E RV Water Heater
Hey Marvin, The Atwood AT94022 is also unfortunately discontinued along with the rest of the Atwood brand. Water heaters have shrunk in size a bit so you're going to have to do a bit of alteration to the cutout hole to fit a new water heater. With the Dometic GC10A-4E being 16" tall x 15-1/2" wide x 20-7/8" deep you'll need to screw in some wood to fill in the gap and give the new unit something to mount to. • Replacement For Atwood Water Heater With no Tank Available
Hi Carl; Atwood (which made your water heater) is no longer in business and replacement tanks are not made for them, so the best we can offer is replacing your heater with a new one, the tankless Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR48SR. These give you on-demand hot water and are far more energy efficient than heaters with tanks. I know it's not what you asked for but I thought I'd give you the option since a replacement Atwood tank isn't something made anymore.

Great to hear from you again, John! I'm a sucker for the tankless water heaters simply because they have a higher performance than the older tank-style water heaters so I definitely recommend going tankless. Just to give you an idea of the performance, the 60,000 Btu unit from Furrion is able to produce 144 gallons of hot water an hour without having to wait for a tank to fill up and heat up to get your hot water. The Furrion system is the best way to go and for that we have a few different...

Hey Glen, thanks for reaching out! I recommend replacing your Dometic water heater with the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR48SR. This runs just off of gas and the fact that it's tankless makes it way more efficient than the age-old tank options. • Water Heater Replacement for the Atwood MPD 91043
Hello Joe. We do not have anything that would be a direct replacement with Atwood being out of business. I do have 2 different water heaters that I recommend. At this point all we can recommend is replacement of the entire system. If you want to go that route then I recommend going with a Furrion tankless water heater. • Are There Any RV Water Heaters Rated For Below Freezing Use
Hey Todd, Tankless systems are great, but a lot of them have built in sensors to turn themselves off in weather below 36-32 degrees (depending on the model) or will still freeze like a normal tanked system. The issue is that the unit is always facing out exposed to the elements because it needs to exhaust out. With a tankless you could run the unit constantly to keep the water moving and hopefully prevent it from freezing but it's not a guarantee and you'd likely be using quite a bit of...
