Replacement Water Heater for an Atwood G6A6 6 Gallon Water Heater

Question:

Hello I have a 1983 Coachman motorhome. The water heater in it is an Atwood gas water heater. The model number on the tag of it appears partially worn off but what is showing is G6A6. Is there a replacement water heater for this? If so will there need to be any modifications to make it work? I don’t want to buy something I can’t return so want to be sure whatever I get will work. The Atwood line of water heaters went out of business a number of years ago so to replace your water heater I highly recommend the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR48SR because it has superior performance to the older tank-style heaters and is more efficient as well.

Please note that the installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency, or gas supplier.

Are you needing just the regulator? If so, the Atwood # 91602 should work well as a replacement.

@IA The Atwood water heater AT96110 has been discontinued. I recommend replacing your water heater with the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR48SR because it has a much better performance. The pricing can be found on the product page directly.
