Ready for a straightforward roof refresh, the square design lines up with square cutouts for an easy replacement. This is skylight only, so plan to source sealant and any fasteners you need. For a solid install, use butyl tape under the screw holes and finish the top with lap sealant to keep everything tight and weatherproof.
Expect to take extra care during fastening and sealing. One installer found a thin unit wanted to pop up between screws; use all screw holes and maintain even screw spacing. Press the flange down as you go and bed it in butyl tape. If your caulk isn't self leveling, smooth as you apply to reduce tall bumps at each screw.
Measure the roof opening and the outside flange to match your square skylight only. One installer noted a unit fit the hole but was a bit bigger than the original, so double-check both cutout and flange sizes. If replacing one above a shower, verify the same shape and footprint so screw lines and sealant coverage land on solid roof.
Use butyl tape under the screw holes and seal the top with Lap sealant. One installer used 3 tubes of Lap sealant to finish the job. If your caulk is very sticky and not self leveling, expect strings and bumps over screws; work slowly and plan for cleanup. Check your roof sealant preference before starting.
Do not assume supplies are included. One install noted no tube of caulk was included, while another received caulking and added an installation kit for screws and an extra tube. Check the contents list and consider an install kit if you need fasteners or additional sealant to complete the perimeter.
