Today on our 2016 Hyundai Tucson, we'll be doing a test fit on the Curt roof mounted cargo basket. That's part number C18115. It measures 41 1/2" long, 37" wide, and 4" deep. Now, if you'd like you can also pick up an extension which adds an extra 21". If you'd like a bigger basket, feel free to pick up the extension with part number C18117. A few things you need to know about this roof basket is it's made out of serious steel construction with a black powder coat finish, so it's going to resist rust and corrosion. It's got a boxier shape than most roof baskets, which is okay.

Today on our 2016 Hyundai Tucson we'll be doing a test fit on the Thule Canyon XT Roof Mounted Cargo Basket. That's part number TH859XT. It measures 49 inches long by 40 inches wide and 6 inches deep, here at the center that is. You could also pick up an extension sold separately that adds an extra 20 inches, which will then give you 69 inches. If you'd like a bigger basket go ahead and pick that up. You can pick it up with part number TH8591XT. A few things to know about this basket is it's got a low profile design.

Today with this 2016 Hyundai Tucson, we're going to be test fitting the 23 by 60 Stromberg Carlson Cargo Carrier, part number CC-100. This has a 500 pound carrying capacity. Also has this graded bottom here, which actually makes a lot easier to clean. It has this rail all the way around the cargo carrier, which you can use as a tie down point for either ratchet straps or bungee cords, whatever you use to secure your cargo. Next, I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements here. The first one is going to be how much distance is added to the vehicle once the cargo carrier is installed. I'm going to measure from the bumper to this rail here, that's going to be about 32.75 inches. We'll do the ground clearance to this point here and that's going to be about 11.25 inches. Our closest point, which will be this rail here, that's going to be about 12 inches. This vehicle the exhaust is going to be on the passengers side.

It also has this nice floor here, that makes it a lot easier to clean. Plus this rail, all the way around the cargo carrier, which you can use as a mounting point for all your tie downs or racket straps. Whatever you need to secure your cargo as you drive. Now I'm going to go ahead and give you a couple measurements here.

Now, this has a 300 pound weight capacity, has this mesh floor in the bottom, which makes it easier to clean, and also, around the border of the cargo carrier, we have these points here, as well as in the back, and the front, and the other side, which can serve as tie down points for your ratchet straps or your bungee cords to secure your load as you're driving. Next, I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements. First being, the distance added to the vehicle once the cargo carrier is installed. I'm going to go ahead and measure from the bumper to this point here and that's going to be about 26 inches. Our ground clearance to this point here, that's going to be about 14 inches. Then our closest point would be this edge here, and that's going to be about 6 inches. Now, the exhaust on this car is going to be on the passenger side.



Carpod Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Hyundai Tucson

Today on this 2016 Hyundai Tucson, we're going to be test fitting the 23x47 Carpod walled cargo carrier, part number M2205. This has a carrying capacity of 450 pounds. It's walled on all 4 sides with plenty of spaces to attach tie downs or ratchet straps to secure your cargo while you're driving down the road. I'm going to go ahead and start giving you some measurements here. First off I'm going to give you an example of how much distance is added to the vehicle once the cargo carrier is installed. I'm going to go ahead and measure from the bumper, that's going to be about 33 1/2 inches.
