Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket - 47" Long x 35" Wide - 165 lbs
The hybrid cannot take a hitch (for a rear cargo carrier rack), so the Rino Rack is our best solution for extra cargo. Sturdy. Fairly simple to assemble. Looks great on our new Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid.
Amazing and great service. Received an email letting me know personally my package was shipped. Then personally emailed me again saying they received a notification my package was delivered. Great sturdy product. Looks great on my crosstrek too. Thank you

Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket - Steel - 44" Long x 39" Wide
Received roof basket quick and in great condition, save for missing one of the tube fastener screws. It was easy to put together and install, although it took me just over an hour to do, but that's mostly because I'm anal. I really like this basket as it seems to sit lower on my factory roof rack than other brands I've seen on the same vehicle (2015 Subaru XTrek), and that makes it look much better (IMHO). It also comes with a wind deflector which was easy to install and Adds to it's appearance. I would highly recommend this product and etrailer to friends and family. Etrailer, please keep up the great work and service your provide, as I find it to be very useful and very much appreciated. Btw: This was not my first order with etrailer, so my experience with them is also based on previous orders, and no I have affiliation with etrailer, I'm just a very happy customer.
Looks and fits well on my '13 Crosstrek. Overall build quality and ease of installation met my expectations. The folks at etrailer.com "exceeded" my expectations! Prompt service and excellent follow-up! Keep up the great work!

Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 41-1/2" Long x 37" Wide x 4" Deep - 150 lbs
Fast shipping easy to assemble haven't mounted to my son's 2016 crosstrek yet
Exactly what I needed! Looks good and super easy to install. You may or may not have the U-bolts stick into the basket but simply cut them down to size, maybe even place rubber tips on them. That aside, great purchase. Finally free up some room in my Subaru Crosstrek during trips.

24x60 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
This is an excellent buy. Great price and a well made product. Easy to assemble, takes five to ten minutes.
The rack is much bigger than my previous one. I was disappointed that it was made in China instead of the USA. It assembled very easily and the light kit works very well. The only draw back is I can no longer open my tailgate with the rack installed due to the spare tire hitting the raised rack.

17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
Package arrived as scheduled. Packaging was not in the best shape, looks like it had been caught on something and one side was ripped open, then taped shut. I opened the box and the packaging around the shelf was not real secure, causing the shelf to slide back and forth inside the box. This caused some minor scuffing on the rails of the shelf, but nothing major. Assembly was easy, but I would recommend that when you put it together, start with the two plates that join the shelf, then use the three bolts for the actual hitch post. I did it the other way and when I tightened the three bolts, it separated the shelf on the top side. I ended up using a tie-down strap to pull the tow pieces together so that I could get rid of the gap on the top rail of the shelf. Once I did this, the shelf came together just fine. The anti-rattle locking hitch pint is GREAT! Installed easily and eliminated any extra movement from the shelf. Equipment is satisfactory, shipping and packaging could use some improvements. Overall satisfied with the purchases.
I already reviewed this product, just adding a few pictures of it on our vehicle. The hatch clears the carrier when empty, but loaded might be a different story. Just have to make sure we load the trunk first.

Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket - 57" Long x 42" Wide - 165 lbs
Great product. Great quality. Instructions not real clear, so took me a couple of hours to assemble. Then another 15-20 minutes to secure to roof racks. I was working alone, extra hands would have helped. But extremely happy with quality and looks of product. We have lots of family that visit us, so I plan to carry luggage on the rack to free up space inside the vehicle on trips to and from the airport.
Love it! It's big enough to fit a bike carrier and a cargo bag on top of my MINI. Easy to assemble and install, solid construction. Great value for your money. If I have a gripe it's that the wind fairing on the front is VERY thin/fragile. I caught it with my bike tire when loading one day and the corner snapped right off like nothing. It's only about $XXX for the replacement.

Thule Force XT L Rooftop Cargo Box - 16 cu ft - Black AeroSkin
It's definitely a two person lift, but it works perfectly and is well constructed.
great, matte finish and the Large size is perfect for a 2016 Subuaru Crosstrek. Doesn't look egregiously large, but has substantial storage space. The only drawback is that the locking mechanism sometimes has difficulty locking because of all the plastic components, which is annoying, but just requires a little more TLC.

Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket - Steel - 49" x 40" x 6" - 150 lbs
The product it’s self is great. It’s a Thule product so you know what you’re getting when you order it. Very stylish and the coating on the basket seems like it will hold up. This is something that is not meant to be taken on and off regularly. It does take some time to install the basket. I did it myself in about an hour. I do feel like the plastic wind shield on it could have had a better set up. Doesn’t look to strong but time will tell etrailer customer service also gets 5 stars I ordered this on sale on Black Friday. The item took about 2 weeks to ship but once it did it only took 2 days to arrive. I recieved several emails updating me on my order status which was great comminitication. It seems that basket was delayed due to supplies from Thule because other retailers stopped taking orders on it. Overall the basket looks great on my Subaru Crosstrek and is what I expected from the product.
We mounted this on a 2013 Subaru Crosstrek, fits and looks great, took us about an hour.

Thule Pulse Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box - 11 Cu Ft - Matte Black
It was what I expected with a feature that I didn't expect. The quick mounting clamps make it very easy to attach.
Great size box, the latching function is very particular though, you have to be able to completely close it with no resistance or it won't lock. It sounds annoying but it's a very good indicator that the box is secure and won't fly open on the freeway. We've used it for cross country trips and it's held up great, not much noise from it, a little but nothing that was too annoying. Definitely worth the money for extra storage.

19x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Aluminum - Folding - 500 lbs
I bought this cargo carrier to haul my wife's wheelchair when we go on vacation. The "foldable connection bar" is not long enough to let me fold the cargo carrier up on my 2013 Subaru Crosstrek. I could have bought an aluminum carrier locally that did not fold up.
This cargo carrier was excellent for a cross-country roadtrip we took last summer and we've used it many times since! We use it with our 2019 Subaru Crosstrek.

20x47 Reese Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" Hitches - Steel - 300 lbs
This is an excellent buy. Great price and a well made product. Easy to assemble, takes five to ten minutes.
This is great cargo basket: solid and secure, easy assembly, well designed. The angled neck keeps the basket well away from the ground; I haven’t had any problems with it bottoming out. My first use was actually on a trip back from Florida following Powered Paragliding training. I was intending to bring back just a Paramotor (which would have stood vertically inside the basket), but ended up bringing back a whole Trike assembly! Mounted it on the basket as shown, and it rode just fine back through four states. Got a lot of looks on the way home! I concur with an earlier reviewer that a neat trick is to use a stabilizer strap from the hitch to the corner of the basket. There is plenty of slop in the receiver when the neck is inserted, and a short ratcheting tie down cancels the rattle effectively. I’m very pleased with this purchase; and while I don’t plan to haul around anything as big as that trike, I look forward to many more years of use from it!

Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp - 77" Long - 500 lbs
I can't say I'm entirely happy with my purchase. The instructions were more confusing than helpful. Note in "instruction.jpg" photo of STEP 1 that the text says to put the 8 small bolts in from the inside first, but the drawing clearly shows them as going in from the outside. The last step says to place the ramp onto the receiver as shown.... glad I didn't throw away the box because there is no drawing that shows ramp installation. Actually, the photo on the box was more helpful than any of the instructions. Also, I need to make a trip to the hardware store to buy longer medium bolts because the ones that came with the carrier were not long enough to fully engage the self locking feature of the nylon lock nuts. At a minimum a couple of threads should protrude beyond the nylon. See photo "nut.jpg". The bolt threads don't reach the end of the nylon, so the self locking feature is not fully engaged. I did tighten the nut, but that was as far as it would go. I think once I get back from the hardware store with the new medium bolts and after I reverse the 8 small bolts (I followed the drawing and not the text of the instructions), I'll be OK with the carrier.
"Instantly Get Rid of Wobble and Upgrade With Lights" This is not a 5 because ramp should be longer & there should be some type stabilizer to temporary hold bike while strapping down, I'd pay more for those upgrades. The wobble can instantly be solved by hooking Tie-Straps closest to vehicle directly to the receiver where you hook your chains, rather than hooking them to the provided holes on carrier itself. You of course use the provided strap holes ones on the opposite side. When strapped down as stated, the carrier now becomes one with the vehicle & @ 80mph there is no wobble. (*TIP: Put ramp back in its place before strapping down or else it won't fit with the strap hooks in the way.) I upgraded mine with lights for both safety reasons & not needing the Police any reason to pull me over. It was very simple and cost me nothing but time & maybe $50. I recommend this product whole heartedly.

Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box - 16 cu ft - Matte Black
The package arrived very quickly, can't wait to use it. All the parts I have received for my Crosstrek from etrailer have even rite on. Thanks.
This was purchased off of the etrailer.com website as a "damaged" item at a significantly reduced price. The description on the website described the damage very well and the cargo box has no functional issues of any kind. Also, the cargo box arrived much earlier than I anticipated. Furthermore, when I noticed that the box arrived with the load securing straps missing I emailed etrailer customer support and they had Thule send me two new ones right away. Couldn't be more pleased with etrailer and this cargo box. It fits my 2014 Honda CRV with factory crossbars with just a little bit of rear hatch interference (restricts opening by maybe an inch or two, but can still fully use the rear hatch). Can't speak to durability quite yet as I've only used the cargo box a few times to transport skis and snowboard and plan to use it year-round for road trips. A really great, simple cargo box!

Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 Rooftop Cargo Box - 14 cu ft - Black
I've taken one 1500 mile trip so far with the Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 mounted on my RAV4. I found the box to be quiet and not to have much impact on gas mileage. I lost maybe 1 mpg with it mounted to my flush mounted Whisperbars. I drove through some very heavy rain and had a minimal amount of water inside under a thin rubber mat I had placed on the bottom of the box; none on my luggage got wet. This box works great to give me more carrying capacity when traveling with my two crated Dobermans.
Pretty good. The locking mech is a little funky but it swallows the beach chairs and other sandy stuff no problem. Make sure you watch the videos Yakima has on YouTube. They are very helpful for first timers. I found that if you use the Yakima website to get the part list right you can order wherever you want. Yup can even pull into the garage. My only gripe is that etrailer showed all parts in stock but several pieces were actually back ordered. Luckily everything arrived in time for my trip.

SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box - Roof Mount - 18 cu ft - Black
Our SportRack cargo box has worked as hoped / advertised since we bought it over a year ago. What initially attracted me to this particular product was the size and design - it holds A LOT, and the way it opens from the back has helped protect our stuff from getting wet and damaged.
The sportrack vista xl is great! This was our first attempt at a roof mounted cargo box and it has preformed exceprionally well! I purchased this as a gift for my wife, to go on her Subaru Crosstrek. We live in western NC, and have used this to go to the outer banks of NC, eastern Tennessee, and even to bring home supplies from Sam's Club! It's super easy and quick to install, even for one person, and we've been fortunate enough to not have a single leak yet; even though we've been through heavy downpours! And there's plenty of room! If you're in the market for a rooftop cargo box this is the way to go.

Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket - Steel - 69" x 40" x 6" - 150 lbs
This was so easy to put together. It fits great on my 2014 Subaru Crosstrek. I plan on loading all the camping gear in it when we go on vacation. The folks at ETrailer.com have been great inn keeping me up to date on the status of my order.

23x59 Stromberg Carlson Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
Carrier and box will be moved to hitch on 209 Solitude Rv to provide extra cargo carrying ability
A good size and very strong. I like the fact that it has a grated bottom, as opposed to a few bars like many of its competitors. There are many holes and notches present for any customization desired. Also makes for a great chair to relax. I also ordered the anti-rattle pin so as to fasten this tightly to the hitch. IMO that should be included with any of these trailer-hitch-Mount accessories.

20x48 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs
This is an excellent buy. Great price and a well made product. Easy to assemble, takes five to ten minutes.
This is a sturdy carrier. Welds all seem good. Paint is just fine. Steel tubing is very strong. The weight is heavy but reasonable for one person to install and remove. I plan to remove it when not in use on our trip to avoid having to fold it up and lose ability to access the hatch on our van. It has a bit of play in both the receiver and on the folding hinge. I’m going to use construction shims taped in place to reduce the wiggle but even without those, it’s not bad. Even with a jumbo cooler, we can still see the plate. This will do the trick for vacation and camping gear without having to haul a massive 60” carrier. Love the size and build.
Stromberg Carlson Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek
Today on our 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek we've got the 23 by 60 Stromberg Carlson cargo carrier here. Now this carrier is going to have a capacity of 500 pounds. They've designed it for use in 2" hitches. Part number on it is CC-100. Now this is going to have a nice large, open, expanded steel here. One of the larger holes in the floor that I've seen in some carriers.
Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek
Today on our 2015 Subaru XV Cross Track, we've got the curt twenty by sixty cargo carrier. We're going to test fit it. This has been designed for use in two inch hitches. It offers a subtotal five hundred pound weight capacity. Part number on it is C18150. Now this is gonna have kind of a medium sized expanded steel floor, too. It allows for good areas where moisture, dirt, debris, and stuff like that can fall down and out. We're also going to have a raised edge that goes all the way around the outside of the carrier that gives us good front to back and also side to side stability.
MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek
Today in our 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek, we've got the Maxxtow 23" x 48" Cargo Carrier. We're going to take a look at it and just see how it measures up with the vehicle. As you can see, this is going to be a nice, almost full-aluminum carrier, so it's super, super lightweight, got a steel shank that runs all the way down the middle. That's going to give us, even with the aluminum, a 500 lb weight capacity. It's been designed for use in 2" hitches. The part number on it is MT70422. Now, this is going to be a flat-style carrier, so small items, they're just going to go through there. This is more geared towards those larger items or landscaping materials, things like that that we need to transport.
Detail K2 20x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek
Today on our 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek, we're testing the Detail K2 20 x 60 folding guard rail. They designed it so we can use 2" hitches. It's going to offer a nice 500 pound weight capacity. Part number is K2 HCC602. We've got 100 pounds already loaded on the carry just to give you an idea kind of how it will look, kind of how it will move around an your heading down the road. Now, that's going to be very standard with the cargo carrier just to secure it with any clip.
Curt 24x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek
Today on our 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek, we're doing a test fit on the 24x60 Curt Folding Cargo Carrier. This has been designed for use in 2" hitches, and it's going to hold up to 500 lbs. Part number on this is C18153. With the Curt carrier, you can see I've got it loaded down here with about 100 lbs. It uses a pin and clip to hold it in to the vehicle, which is standard with most cargo carriers. That is going to sometimes provide some movement, some wiggle back here.
Lets Go Aero Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek
Today on our 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek, we're test fitting the Let's Go Aero GearCage. This is a 32" x 48" cargo carrier. It's been designed for use in 2" hitches and up to a 300 lb. weight test. Part number on it is HCR222. We've loaded it down here with 150 lbs.
What our customers are saying:
