Pretty easy install. Spend the 5 minutes to take the heat shield and spare tire off. The little rubber "gripper" on the handle pulled off the first pull. Maybe B&W could put a little glue on it .

If you have to have a slider this is the one to buy. I’ve now driven with it about 5000 miles..the only down side is that you have to hook and unhook with the truck perfectly straight in line with the trailer. But it does work perfectly as advertised.

Superior. My old Reese 16K served me well, but after 10 years of service including the AL-CAN highway, it creaked and moaned when loaded and banged around when not loaded. When I got a new truck that was 5th wheel prepped from the factory I chose the Curt hitch over the Reese, if for no other reason than it displayed first on the search list. I’m glad I did. First of all, the unit arrived in two heavy boxes. The boxes had a few dings, but were in pretty good condition. The contents of each box was packed well with styrofoam. None of the pieces sent to me were bent, broken or scratched. The instructions were pretty straightforward and easy to read. I’m 66 and completed the installation without assistance. I used the formula provided in the instructions to calculate the height of the assembly and the results were pretty much to my satisfaction. I did have to adjust the locking lugs and tighten each castle nut one notch to where there was a little resistance when locking. PROS: it’s solid, no wiggle; the head has a square rubber bumper the fits in the base that keeps the head from bouncing around when unloaded; coupling and locking indicators can easily be see from the cab and provide visual status of the jaws; interlocking double jaws. CONS: none at this time. I’m a happy camper.

I would not buy this hitch again because -- 1. It takes up to much space in the truck bed 2. It is over built thus weighs to much 3. It is very hard to hook up because the hitch swivels when unhooking, thus making the hooking up very difficult lining up on an angle. 4. With this hitch I cannot lock out the swivel feature. My old hitch I could lock it out I would buy from E Trailer again there sales people are great and delivered time was great. The hitch choice was my mistake not E Trailer's

Curt Q24 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 24,000 lbs
Arrived timely in a very well protected carton. Handled shipping better than any other 150 lb item I received in a cardboard box. There are a few small scratches but nothing that some minor touch-up (semi-gloss?) won't take care of. Was able to put it together alone and install in the mounting rails in about 30 minutes. Heavier than my old 15k hitch but not so heavy I can't position it alone. May enlist help when it's time to put it away in the fall.
The Curt Q24 Hitch is a very Sturdy Hitch, was easily assembled and easy to understand its proper Usage. There are many Safety aspects I admire about this Product. I would recommend this Hitch to anybody.

This hitch was extremely easy to install! Although the locking handle maneuvered slightly different than the Curt videos I saw online, the intuitive design made it a breeze to set up. As a first time 5th-wheeler, this product has exceeded my expectations so far. I have not towed yet with this unit, but I feel confident that this product will be able to tow my 16k lb 5th wheel.
This was a real pain to get assembled and installed without any assistance. The assembly instructions for the legs has a list of compatible heads, and the A20 was not on that list, but it assembled just fine and Curt website said it was OK. Doing the assembly in the truck bed helped by loading in each of the parts and taking off the head, thus keeping the weight of each part minimal. It dropped right in to the pucks without issue, then I completed the final torqueing. I haven't towed with this yet so cannot comment on that part. I was rather perturbed to find out this was made in China. This needs to be stated in the description. I would not have bought it if I had known that.

2016 Ram 3500it works good i dont like that you can't unhook your trailer in less the truck is perfectly straightforward .you can't remove safety pin on handle so to get around that issue before I park i turn pin upside down and remove it from the bottom of handle

Heavy duty!... pretty easy setup. Not the best instructions, but anyone with half decent mechanical ability can figure it out. You have to take the head off to torque the slider rails.

Great hitch used it on a few trips already driven over 3,000 miles. Love the dual jaws and the adjustability, my truck sits a bit higher and I was able to adjust this down to get it where it needed to be- even with the Reese adapter plate(see photo). The polyurethane is also a nice touch, makes the ride a little more cozy then a standard hitch. Use with the provided lube plate
Overall on a flat road the hitch is smooth and handles the 13,500 weight it's pulling with a 3500 HD dually diesel. Going up or down hills or stopping and starting the hitch slams back an forth with a grinding metal sound. It hits hard. We are told that's the way it was built. It seems a simple fix of some bushings or rubber stoppers would be a plus. The resale value on hitches is poor so we will keep a few years then upgrade again.

heavy and strong! But terrible design. Forward and back pivots smooth but side to side the fifth wheel moves on a half moon under two pins... first time out I thought I was loosing the trailer. Every corner expect a slam and your truck to shift. Its embarrassing to ride around with a truck that sounds like it’s going to fall apart. Would not recommend.

Yes you can install but Need to force it to install holes Won't line up perfectly I don't know if I can remove ?? Shipping Package was not right!!! Side grill clips all was broken

I was really impressed with how fast my order was expedited and how detailed the tracking was! when I received the boxes, they were both pretty well beat up but the one with the fifth wheel legs was falling apart. When I opened it I noticed that all four of the leg locking handles were damaged to the point that I had to file the edges off so I didn't cut my hands. (see photos) Now I'm worried that they will immediately start to rust. I would like someone to replace these parts since this was a brand new purchase!
Amazed how fast my Product arrived. Hitch installed on my 2020 RAM 3500 Limited with OEM 5th wheel package. no issues with installation. Only thing, boxes in bad shape when arrived!

The A20 hitch and R20 slider are outstanding products. One issue I had was the differing instructions on bolting the two together. The A20 instructions are for bolting to stationary’leg’ base. The R20 slider instructions are what I used and worked very well.
2008 Dodge 3500 Mega Cab Laramie DRW. Fit the rails already in the truck perfect. Easy to assemble. Did 95% of it before I even looked at the instructions. I believe it will work well when I finally get the chance to use it.

Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package - Single Jaw - 20,000 lbs
This is a nice hitch but i had a few problems. The least of which and did not affect the rating I gave was that the leg sets do not have the perforated blue cover on their sides but a palm sized M5 medallion. This was a Reese change and is not a fault of etrailer. The main concern is that I had to reorder the leg set due to what I thought were under tapped holes. The new leg set came in with he same issue. It turns out that Reese did not mask the threads and paint in the tapped holes caused the bolts to jam up on the paint. One bolt was ruined and the other would have been too if I had tried it. I'm not sure if the tapped hole were ruined as well. I bought a M16x2 tap and chased the holes to fix the problem. In the attached photo you can see that the cuttings were black paint and not shiny metal.

Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System with Adapter - 20,000 lbs
We have the Anderson Hitch installed on our 2017 Ford SuperDuty and pull a Reflection 337RLS. We have traveled over 4,000 miles and have been extremely satisfied. The hitch allows plenty of clearance between 5th wheel, bed, and the truck cab. Hook-up and disconnect has always been easy, even with RV lots that were uneven dirt lots. I use Curt thin rubber sound dampeners (item 16900) and this provides a quiet, tight fit between the rails and hitch. Of course the light weight makes it easy to remove when not towing and less weight when you are towing. A great product for the right truck, trailer combination.
After receiving the kit i saw another one on the shelf at a local store. I noticed the one on the shelf had a steel ball cup mounted to it. Mine did not have that part. I called andersen and asked if the ball cup was available for purchase seperately. They told me no need to purchase bevause they will ship me one for free! Later on, i towed my trailer to a camp site and upon arrival i could not get the release pin to open to drop the trailer while we stayed in it. I called andersen and described the problem i had, they shipped a whole new block and cable assembly for free!! I am ver pleased with the product and also impressed with the level of customer service!

This 21K unit is very well built. It does have some weight to it so some help installing would be much easier.my installation was completed solo and took approx 1 hour in a GMC 3500 Denali.

B and W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Ram 3500
Today on this 2011 Dodge Ram pickup 3500 series crew cab we're going to install part number BWRVK3500-5W. We want to make sure we remove the gooseneck ball. At this point we can go ahead and start working with our 5th wheel companion hitch. We're going to start off our hitch partially assembled already. So we see an extra set of hands to help hold it and put it into the bed of the truck and then we'll go ahead and put it into our hitch. Initially in place, we want to make sure that our pads are in the truck of the bed itself. Tighten down the hardware to secure our pads. We're lucky our bolts actually got a little bit of bind so we can just tighten them down from the top.
