Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2003 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Today on our 2003 Ford F-350 Super Duty we'll be installing the B&W Turnover Under Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, part number BWGNRK1108. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once installed. On our driver's side we have the side bracket, emergency brake cable hold down, and the release handle. Here's our handle in the locked position. We can pull it out and rotate it and it will hold out in the unlocked position. Then, once we've put our ball in position, we simply rotate it back towards the rear of the vehicle and release it and the spring pressure will reset the pin back into the locked position.

Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2003 Ford F-350

Today on our 2003 F350 Crew Cab Dually 4-wheel Drive with an eight foot bed, we'll be installing a Blue Ox Diamond Hitch Underbelly Gooseneck. Part number DH1201. Now we're ready to go ahead and show how the ball works on this hitch. To insert the ball, you'll squeeze the tab on the side, there's also a notch welded into the hitch, you will line this up and as the ball twist, it'll lock into place on the tab on the driver side. To remove the ball, you squeeze the small tab and work it back out the pattern. To store the ball, you'll flip the ball over, push the locking tab in on the side, lining up with the groove that's been cut in the upper part of the ball, and slide it down into place. To begin with, we went ahead and remove the rear tires from the vehicle. We'll need to go ahead and lower the rear exhaust hanger down.
