Hey Carol, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but unfortunately the weight of your bikes plus the bike rack is going to exceed the 200 lb tongue weight rating on the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11417.
Even if this hitch did have a 300 lb tongue weight rating, using a 2" receiver adapter would cut the capacity by 50% so you still wouldn't have enough.

Thanks for letting us help Shea. The # EH87FR you were looking at will ft your 2016 Mini Cooper S with the John Cooper Works aero kit as long as it has the center mounted dual exhaust. This # EH87FR has a 1-1/4" receiver and will support up to 300 lbs of tongue weight which is going to be more than enough for most bike rack setups. You do still want to adhere to any weight capacities listed by the manufacturer of your vehicle.

You could go with the Curt # C18145, which weighs 27.58lbs or the Curt # C18110, which weighs 29.85lbs. The Flint Hill Goods # FHG59ZR you referenced is 24.72lbs so it's not much of a difference weight-wise. Yes, the Demco Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly with Disc Brakes # DM9713045 would be more than suitable, but you wouldn't be able to use your brake controller without having to replace the entire brake system on the dolly upgrade to an electric-over-hydraulic setup, which can be expensive.

The answer appears to be no. The only company that makes a base plate for the 2023 is Roadmaster and they specifically say no JCW. Check your owner's manual to see for sure but without a base plate you're really out of luck. I tried to find the owner's manual but there are too many variables on the Mini site so couldn't find more specific information. For your 2012 Mini Cooper I recommend the Blue Ox Base Plates # BX1307 with removable arms. Since these base plates do not directly fit your # e74ZR tow bar you are going to need an adapter to make the 2 work together. The correct adapter for this to work is # e98978. This adapter is going to replace the ends of your current tow bar to accommodate the Blue Ox base plates.

I do have a solution, but there are no custom fit hitches available for any version of the 2022 Mini Cooper. Since you have the convertible that also rules out a trunk bike rack and a roof rack bike rack. What you can do is take the # E17 to a fabricator and have them fashion a custom hitch for you. Hey Fredrick, flat tow setups are generally harder to make super cheap but the best priced base plate kit we offer is the Roadmaster part # 521876-1 for your 2007 Mini Cooper convertible.
Then for a tow bar the Roadmaster part # RM-520 is best option that fits direct to the base plate kit.

Hi Mel; I'm assuming you already have this BMW roof rack installed on your 2020 Mini Cooper S. As long as the crossbars are 20"-30" apart I expect the # INBRA220R-BK will fit. The minimum/maximum crossbar dimensions for this roof box are 3/4" - 1-3/8" tall x 1" - 3-1/2" wide so if the crossbars fall within these dimensions you can use this roof box with your Mini Cooper. Hi Gillian; the Saris Bones EX 3 Bike Rack # SA803 will fit your 2022 Mini Cooper as long as you have the hardtop model and Hatch Huggers # SA3035 replace the top hooks. However, you're limited to 2 bikes/70 lbs so the 3 bike rack doesn't do you much good (I'm assuming you actually want to carry 3 bikes).
