How To Install The Yakima Roof Rack Y46SD On A 2025 Mini Cooper 3-Door Hardtop

Question:

We are looking to add a roof rack to our 2025 Mini Cooper 3-door hardtop. The Yakima BaseLine FX Roof Rack for Naked Roofs - JetStream Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - Qty 2 is indicated as fitting our car. Can you explain where exactly the custom clips attach to this vehicle? A photo of the application would be helpful, too, if available. Thank you.

Hi Joseph!

I can definitely get you measurements for the install of the Yakima BaseLine FX Roof Rack for Naked Roofs - JetStream Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - Qty 2 # Y46SD on your 2025 Mini Cooper 3-door hardtop, but we haven't had one of these in for an install yet. So no video yet, unfortunately, but I do have a couple pictures attached.

Front Bar Pitch (P1): B
Front Bar Toe (T1): 2
M1: 34 1/8 "
M2: 5 "
M3: 34 5/8 "
M4: 33 1/2 "
Rear Bar Pitch (P2): B
Rear Bar Toe (T2): 2
Weight Limit: 149 lbs

I am aware this looks very confusing, but when you check out the instructions and fill in the blank parts on the 2nd page with the above numbers, it becomes clear. Plus it's kind of hard to explain, so this is the best way.

What are you going to be carrying?

@JosephD The longer bar set up # Y52SD would also work perfectly fine. We don't have any pictures of that installed, but it will attach the exact same way as the flush bar # Y46SD. I actually prefer the longer bars as get more room to work with, but the flush style does tend to look more "stock".
