Receiver for 2016 Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works Model

Question:

I am wanting to buy a mount for a bike rack for my 2016 mini cooper S Hardtop 4 door that has a john Cooper works aero kit have no idea what that entails Can you please direct me to the correct mount to buy

Thanks for letting us help Shea. The # EH87FR you were looking at will ft your 2016 Mini Cooper S with the John Cooper Works aero kit as long as it has the center mounted dual exhaust. This # EH87FR has a 1-1/4" receiver and will support up to 300 lbs of tongue weight which is going to be more than enough for most bike rack setups. You do still want to adhere to any weight capacities listed by the manufacturer of your vehicle.

Do you already have a bike rack? What type of bikes are you transporting?

I have not purchased a bike rack yet. It will be for transporting road bikes (not e bikes). Do you have any recommendations on bike racks that work well with your mount? I am used to Thule brand Your help is really appreciated

@SheaB For your application, I'd recommend the Thule Apex XT Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # TH9024XT. This is a hanging style hitch mounted bike rack. You could certainly also use a platform style, but I figured there might be somewhat limited ground clearance on your Mini Cooper.

This is the second hidden trailer hitch that I’ve purchased from you,had one on my 2013 mini clubman and now on my 2017 mini s JCW 4dr. It has worked perfectly and I have hauled my boat and tractor trailer on it pulled upto 800 pounds with no problems or concerns. Rear bumper does require some minor modifications but easy. I highly recommended this hitch if you want quality.
