The intermittent function of the left side turn signal on your trailer with the Curt T-Connector Wiring Harness # C56673 installed on does sound like the result of a loose connection or a bad/weak ground. The first thing I recommend doing is using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the 4-Way connector on the Monterey. Test each pin while you have a buddy run through the light functions in the van. If all the pins receive appropriate power with the corresponding light function activated... view full answer...
Lippert Ground Control # LC358590 is designed for 5th wheel trailers so it is not a good option for your bumper pull trailer. There isn't an automated system like this for travel trailers at this time from us. view full answer...
Hey Jim,
We don't have a list made up but the most common vehicles I see people flat towing are:
Jeep: Wrangler, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee.
Chevy: Equinox, Spark, Silverado.
Ford: Bronco, Maverick, F-150, Escape.
Once you decide which vehicle you want to flat tow just let me know the year/make/model and any special trims or bumpers (Jeep) and I can help pick out all the components you'll need. view full answer...
Hey Joe! Don't worry, this is a pretty common question. When it comes to towing you are always limited by the lowest rated component. Trailer hithes are often capable of handling more than the vehicle they're designed for.
Even though a hitch like the etrailer # e66AR has a max gross trailer weight of 4,000 lbs you're still limited to the 2,000 lb towing capacity of the vehicle. You will also need wiring # C59236 and a ball mount # e38NR to complete your setup.

Yes, the SeaSucker Monkey Bars Roof Rack - Vacuum Cup Mount - 48" Long - Black # 298-SX6000B is the best option (and currently, the only option) for you. The Monkey Bars has one of the easiest installations of any roof racks we carry. In addition, the Monkey Bars have a total weight capacity of 150 pounds to give you plenty of capacity to transport cargo and accessories on your 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis.
To carry your accessories, you might not be able to transport your kayaks, bikes,... view full answer...
Hey Erman, for a wheelchair carrier I recommend checking out the Flint Hill Goods 30" x 50" Wheelchair Carrier # FHG77ZR. This wheelchair carrier will simply slide into any 2" trailer hitch, has a 48" long loading ramp, and has a nice 500 lb capacity.
If you don't already, you're going to need to add a hitch with the Draw-Tite Max-E-Loader Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41116 which is custom fit to your vehicle. view full answer...
Hi Ryan; the Curt Class II Drawbar # C45015 is the better choice here. Since your measurement is 12" you need a 6" rise for the U-Haul trailer. It doesn't have to be 100% perfect, and rarely is, so the 5" rise from the Curt ball mount is your best option. This has a 3/4" ball hole diameter so you can use the # C40018 for a 2" ball. view full answer...
Hey Kenneth!
There are 2 red wires on the Hopkins Active Tail Light Converter with Install Kit # 46255 so I'd make sure you have the correct one connected to power, and the correct one connected to the brake light circuit.
If those are connected to the correct circuits, then the next thing to check is that the brake light power is actually getting to the converter box. Check the red brake light wire right before it reaches the converter box, and then again on the green and yellow wires.

The wiring you will need for your 2011 Mercury Mariner is T-One Harness # 118551, which will give you a 4-way connector. To use that with the 7-way on your tent trailer you would need to use the 4 Pole to 7 Pole Vehicle End Trailer Connector # 30717, which provides connection points for both your vehicle and trailer's plugs. To mount the adapter you may want to use no-drill bracket # C57202 along with Mounting Bracket for 7-Way # 18138.
You can see how to mount this adapter in the video... view full answer...
Hi Neal!
I went out to our warehouse and grabbed one of the Roadmaster Rollaway Trailer Hitch Protector # RM-050 to see if it would fit on the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 13707 for your 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis. Turns out it definitely does! I took a few pictures of it installed on the hitch to prove it. : )
Keep in mind that I am no photographer, so don't judge me too hard on them.

Hey Larry, do you know what hitch specifically you have? We have replacement hardware kits for the hitches we carry like the Curt part # C12232 that fits your 2005 Mercury Sable with the part # RHK. view full answer...
Yes the Curt hitch part # C12130 is a confirmed fit for your 2008 Mercury Marquis. Then for trailer wiring the Curt harness part # C59236 would be a great option. It's a universal style harness that will require hardwiring to the taillight wiring. view full answer...
I really like the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e66AR for your 2011 Mercury Grand Marquis for a few reasons; it has the matte black finish that blends in with any black trim on your vehicle and hides scratches from road debris, plus it has the hidden crosstube so it looks great and promotes the best ground clearance possible. view full answer...
The wiring kit you are going to need to go with is one that has a thick enough gauge to provide the amperage requirements of your winch and also has a long enough length to make it from your battery to the rear of the vehicle.
Since I looked up the overall length of your 2006 Mercury Mountaineer and found that it's right at 16 foot I would recommend the Bulldog winch wiring kit part # BDW20043 which is 3 gauge and 16 foot in overall length. view full answer...
The Malone Low Max trailer has a removable hub, so you'll be able to pull it to access and remove the bearings; we've actually done a helpful video that walks through the process of removing, inspecting and re-packing your bearings. This is recommended once per year or every 12,000-miles; whichever comes first.
I've also linked our helpful article on the process that gives some helpful links to replacement parts that you might need if you need to replace the bearings or don't have a Bearing... view full answer...
It depends on the type of freshwater system you have in your RV or trailer. There is likely a specific procedure outlined in the literature for the RV/trailer that you will need to follow. If there isn't then you can follow the procedure below.
Basically when you are sanitizing the tank you aren't just cleaning that tank. You will be cleaning out the whole system so the water and sanitizing solution you use will run through the whole system.

On your 2005 Mercury Mountaineer, if it came with a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector then the brake controller port will be located behind the glove compartment. If it came with a factory 4-Way then the brake controller will need to be hardwired in using # ETBC7.
For a brake controller I recommend the P2 # 90885 because its easy to set up and use. For a wiring harness the correct one is # 3035-P. view full answer...
You are correct that the Tekonsha 119179 is no longer available and any videos for that product have been removed. We do have the Curt # C59236 which is a very similar 4-pole flat hardwire kit and will work nicely on your 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis.
Unfortunately we have not gotten a chance to shoot any videos for a 2006 Grand Marquis, but I have linked a few of our other install videos below if you want to take a look. view full answer...
If your vehicle is equipped with a 4-Way connector, the Curt Universal Installation Kit # C57186 that you referenced includes everything needed to convert it to a fully-functional 7-Way. This includes the needed 10 gauge wire that you will connect to the vehicle's positive battery post via the included 40 amp breaker to activate the 12V pin on the 7-Way. This is the terminal you will use to charge the battery on your trailer while you are towing.
I have attached the complete written installation... view full answer...
