Depending on the model you have the temperature probe for your system could be up in the air distribution box and since heat rises the air up by it could be warmer and preventing the system from coming on, causing you to set it 10 degrees more than needed. When it comes to troubleshooting wiring issues you need to start at the power source and work your way back to the light to find where the issue is and fix it. It to me sounds like an internal problem. But I would first check to make sure the wiring on the 7-way of your vehicle and trailer doesn't have a short from exposed wire. It almost sounds like the wiring from the 12 volt accessory circuit is shorting out to the output circuit when you hit the brakes which causes a quick application of full braking voltage. view full answer...
2020 and newer GM trucks use pulse width modulation which won't send enough power to properly operate a Furrion RV camera system. To solve this Furrion came out with the # FR87PR which corrects the problem by looping over power from the 12v circuit to the running light circuit.

In order to retrofit the Replacement Lock Core and Key part # SR03807 and Replacement Lock Locator part # TH03808 to the top lid on your cargo box you would need to drill out the two rivets for the old lock and then drill a new 5/8" hole for the new lock core. The lock can then be secured in the hole via the included nut.

The Furrion # FR87PR is designed to provide the proper amount of voltage on the running lamp circuit of the 7-way so a camera system will receive enough power to operate reliably. Ford and GM 2019 models seem to have this issue.

I spoke with Furrion, and they said that the problem lies in which parts were used. You bought the heater strip # C-FACR15SA-A02 our part # FR35SR, which are the heat strips for the manual air distribution box.

Moving your B&W Companion Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch to the rear most position will unfortunately place it closer to your tailgate. Since you have a shorter bed the slider is designed to add clearance from the cab but that will unfortunately cut out clearance from your tailgate. Before you replace your unit try first, removing the screws holding your unit to your Winnebago. Then, remove the plug at the rear of the unit, wait 60 seconds, and plug back in. When you hooked up to the GM trucks, did you notice if the truck said trailer connected?
The towing computer on the newer GMC trucks is kind of finicky and if it did not recognize the trailer, or the trailer was not setup in the system it will not send power to the trailer brakes.
If you were getting the no trailer connected message you will need to use the 7-Way Trailer Adapter # C57003 which has load resistors and will help the computer detect the trailer.

I've attached the owners manual for your 4900K model which is similar to the # MA00-04500K model. It sounds like your operator mechanism is bad according to my tech contact at MaxxAir. For your 4900K model you will want the Replacement Operator Mechanism for MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus or MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vents # MA10-20281K-1AF.

I checked with my tech contact over at Roadmaster and he mentioned that there could be a couple of things going on here that I'll try to address for you. First, you can access the internal components in the Even Brake # RM-9400 system by removing the 4 screws on the bottom on the unit, as well as 2 allen screws on the side. The calibration process of the Curt Spectrum # C51170 should only happen after initial installation and should be run before you plug in the trailer to your tow vehicle. I recommend disconnecting 12V electrical power from the main system control panel for a few minutes. Usually about 15-minutes without power does it. This will reset the system and should operate as normal.

The issue you are describing comes up now and again with certain Nissan vehicles. Apparently, depending on which plant the vehicle was built in, the brake output wire and the 12 volt power wire are reversed on the vehicle wiring harness.
Basically to fix the problem all you have to do is swap the blue and black wires inside of the Curt harness 7-Way part that plugs into the vehicle # C56226. There are a couple of ways to do this:

I would start by inspecting the connector on your trailer and the vehicle to make sure there is not corrosion in the connector which could be causing a bad or weak connection. I have to go off the GM dealership recommendation. If they are saying you need the Hydrastar # HBA-CAM or Dexter # DX35FR adapter module for your factory brake controller to work with your electric over hydraulic brake actuator, then I can't really deny it.
