Troubleshooting T-One Tee Connectors Not Fitting a 2016 Toyota Sienna

Updated 07/22/2024 | Published 05/21/2023

Question:

Hello, I bought a custom wiring harness 118498 about a year ago and am just getting around to getting it installed. Unfortunately, the T-connectors dont appear to match my 2016 Toyota Sienna even though the product page says it does. Perhaps the box contains the wrong part? Does my Sienna have a different wiring setup for some reason? Perhaps you can help me out. My order number was XXXX. The part code is 118498. Ill add photos. Thanks!

Thank you for the photos!

The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118498 you purchased is for a 2016 Toyota Sienna SE, but the connectors you have in your photos look like you have a non-SE model so you'll need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56261 instead.

If you look at the connector photos for the Curt wiring they seem to match with the photos you sent in. I'm also linking an installation video on a 2016 Sienna (non-SE) for you to check out.

I have the same exact issue. The etrailer site does not allow you to specify a trim level in its vehicle type drop down so it recommended this item as a proper fit for my vehicle. I ordered mine almost a year ago with a hitch and just now getting around to installing the wiring harness. $XX down the drain because it has the wrong connectors. I guess I missed the ONE spot and very small font that says 'se' on the website. etrailer, PLEASE add the trim level in the product description title to save other the hassle. tore the whole back end of the car apart before realizing it.

@SameF We actually do have a drop-down selection built into the fitguide system where you can choose "excluding SE" or "SE" and the wiring options will change depending on that. Are you wanting a drop-down selection with more trim options?
