I reached out to a representative of Saris who told me the Replacement Tube Cradle and Strap # SA24382 will fit a downtube of approximately 5 inches.
This is a replacement cradle for the Saris Freedom bike racks such as # SA4412B which is a 2-bike rack that fits 1-1/4 inch and 2 inch hitches, as well as the 4-bike rack # SA4414B which is for 2 inch hitches only.
Since you have a carbon frame you may want to also consider a wheel mounted bike rack (assuming it does not have fenders) such... view full answer...
When choosing tie-down straps like the BoatBuckle G2 Retractable Tie-Down Strap, # IMF14220, you will want to keep a few things in mind. Boat tie-downs are designed for normal highway driving. The purpose of most boat tie-downs is to strap the lightest object to the heaviest object, meaning you will want to choose a tie-down with a break strength that exceeds the weight of the lightest object.
For example, if your boat weighs 4,000 lbs and your trailer weighs 2,000 lbs, you will want to... view full answer...
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11431 is designed for and confirmed to fit the Hatchback ST. There will be drilling required for installation, exhaust must be temporarily lowered for installation and access holes may need to be enlarged by drilling, filing, or rotary tool.
All non-trailer loads, bike racks, cargo carriers and so forth should be supported with stabilizing straps. Failure to properly support these loads will void your hitch warranty from Curt. The Curt Trailer Hitch Support... view full answer...
Hey Richard! Yes, the Curt Trailer Hitch # C11431 will fit with your center exhaust. I attached a picture below showing it installed with the exhaust like yours. You will have to drill two holes in the frame for the installation of the hitch.

In order to flat-tow a 2016 Ford Focus with all four wheels on the ground you are going to need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, supplemental braking system, wiring harness, and possible high-low adapter. Before getting started, I highly recommend taking a look in the owner's manual for any specific procedures that must be done while in tow.
For a base plate kit, I recommend the Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit part # RM-524443-5 as long as you do not have adaptive cruise control.... view full answer...
I spoke with my contact at SportRack and got the measurements that you will need. First on the front bar the side to side setting is 26. For the back bar it is 24.
The front to back measurements for the front bar measured from the center of the B-pillar forward is 10 inches. And from the center of the front bar back for the placement of the rear bar is 24 inches. view full answer...
We have somewhat simpler trunk bike racks that fit your 2003 Ford Focus Wagon but the Saris Solo part # SA102 that you mentioned does not fit your vehicle so I would not recommend it for you. The Thule OutWay # TH45JV would be the simplest option since it only uses 2 straps to secure to the vehicle. Others require 4-6 straps which is a bit more involved. This also has anti-sway cages on the frame cradles and is much more adjustable so you'll have a much more stable and secure trunk solution... view full answer...
I checked the owners manual online for a 2004 Ford Focus. Ford says that for front wheel drive models that have the automatic transaxle (transmission) you cannot flat tow it with all 4 wheels on the ground. The drive wheels (front wheels) have to be on a tow dolly, # RM-2050-1 as an example, or the car has to be on a car hauler trailer. view full answer...
Hey Jason, we have the Curt hitch part # C11431 that fits your 2016 Ford Focus ST that has center exhaust. I attached a picture that shows how it installs relative to the exhaust. view full answer...
Hey Ray. I recommend using the Inno Wedge Plus Rooftop Cargo Box item # INBRM864MBK. It's more aerodynamic and has a low profile. With gas prices being insanely high, the slightly smaller box is going to be the way to go.
The Inno Wedge Plus item # INBRM864MBK is going to attach directly to the Inno Square Bar Roof Rack item # IN32XR. This kit comes with all the parts you'll need to attach the roof rack to your 2013 Ford Focus ST Hatchback.
What kind of gear are you going to be putting... view full answer...
On your 2018 Ford Focus I recommend the Stay-IN-Play DUO, part # SM99251, for a supplemental braking system. Mainly because no only does it work well (as does the InvisiBrake) it's a little easier to install. Our installers prefer it to any other permanently installed system. I've linked a video of when we installed it into a 2015 Focus for you. You're also going to need a Brake-Lite Relay, part # RM-88400, to keep the lights of the Focus from overriding the lights of the RV.
The InvisiBrake... view full answer...
Yes, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11431 is a confirmed fit for your 2018 Ford Focus ST. This hitch is actually specifically designed for the ST models and it is the only one we have that will work for you. It has a Class I rating with a 1-1/4" receiver tube opening.
Please keep in mind that if you will be using the hitch for any non-towing accessoires then you will also need the Support Strap part # 18050 in order to maintain the warranty of the hitch. view full answer...
Hey Marc,
That Eco-Hitch that you mentioned is not confirmed to fit the SE Hatchback of your 2016 Ford Focus. The two hitch options we have for your vehicle are going to be the Curt # C11158 or the Draw-Tite # 24872. Both offer a 2,000lb towing capacity and a 200lb tongue weight capacity. These are a no drill installation and bolt right up to your frame.
What are you wanting to use the hitch for? view full answer...
Hey James! The Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # RM-524443-4 does not include the actual crossbar. If you don't have one you will need the Replacement Quick Disconnect Crossbar Assembly for Roadmaster Tow Bars # 910021-00.
Do you have the rest of the parts you need to get your 2018 Focus set up for flat towing? view full answer...
For the 2005 model year all Ford Focus sedans were ZX4 and would then either be an S, SE, or SES. If it only has ZX4 on it then it is an S model.
Your 2005 model would not have the Street Appearance Package because that was not available until the 2006 model year.
If a hitch won't fit there isn't anything that you can safely do to it or the vehicle to make it fit. It can make the hitch unsafe to use. But if you have the regular sedan (ZX4) then this will not be an issue. view full answer...
Hey Sean, sorry for the confusion but the Blue Ox base plate kit part # BX2654 does fit the 2015 Ford Focus ST. I will send an update to have the correct fit info listed. view full answer...
According to Roadmaster, a stop light switch like part # RM-751454 will be required in order for the vehicle's brake lights to illuminate while the using the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System part # SM99251 on your 2016 Ford Focus. Unfortunately, we do not have an installation video of the stop light switch at this time but all you will need to do to install the unit is mount the bracket directly behind the brake pedal and attach the power wire to the cold side of the brake... view full answer...

I have a great solution for you for a bike rack with a ramp. Unfortunately, Saris does not make a ramp for the Saris MTY Bike Rack SA4031. We also do not have a bike rack that has a ramp for a single bike.
With that being said, we do have a 2-bike option that comes with a ramp. For that route, I recommend the Yakima OnRamp # Y96FR (for 1-1/4" hitches) or the # Y88DJ (for 2-inch hitches). The great thing about the OnRamp in addition to the included ramp is that you will not have to purchase... view full answer...
