Recommended Replacement Control Module For Frigette 202-3230 For RV Electric Steps

Question:
I have a 2005 Newmar with steps made by Coach Step, Inc. which I know was bought out and eventually handled by Stromberg-Carlson. The controller currently installed on the steps is SCS Frigette 202-3230 and the motor is part number 163669. Will the LC301702 replace my original SCS Frigette 202-3230?

The Replacement Control Module, part # LC301702 is just what you need to replace the Frigette 202-3230 controller on your RV steps.
This unit installs under the step base and requires 4 screws for installation which are not included.

I have a 2007 Newmar Mountain Aire with SCS/Frigettee exterior steps with a control module 202-3230. The steps move up and down but grind and jump before shutting off both when lowered and risen and often don't go up all the way. Is this a faulty control module, motor or gear assembly?
