Question:
Is there a kit to make the screw connection side weatherproof, or should I use shrink-fit tubing adhesive lining to seal it?

Expert Reply:
While we do not have a housing kit to weatherproof the CR Brophy Replacement 7-Pole, Trailer Connector Socket, R7CB, we do have something to keep all of that moisture out of your connectors.
It's our Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors, part # 11755. This grease doesn't wash away while it combats corrosion. As a dielectric grease, it's not a conductor, which keeps your connections safe from interfering with each other.
I've linked to a video review of this grease for you to look at.
