3,000-lb Capacity. Upgrade your rear suspension by installing these helper leaf springs above your vehicle's factory leaf springs. They significantly reduce sway and prevent sagging, which is perfect for towing or hauling heavy loads.

Features:

  • Reinforce your vehicle's rear suspension with extra leaf springs that prevent sagging and reduce sway by up to 30 percent
    • Work like sway bars to stabilize your OEM springs and keep them from twisting
    • Compensate for windy conditions, wind turbulence from big rigs, and weight shifts from cornering
    • Lift your truck when you are carrying a heavy load and prevent bottoming out
  • Adjust automatically to your payload
    • Rollers on each end of the SuperSprings activate when the OEM springs flex under load
    • Rollers deactivate when OEM springs aren't under load
  • Can be customized - the shackles attaching the SuperSprings provide several options for installation
    • Choose a setting that increases load support and ride height for constant heavy loads or to compensate for minor spring fatigue in an older automobile
    • Choose a setting that maintains the original factory ride conditions and minimizes effect on unloaded ride quality and height
    • Choose a medium setting that balances support, height, and ride comfort
  • Install easily - bolt on above your existing factory springs with no drilling required
    • For some models with factory springs that sit above the axle, the included poly spring pads prevent shifting
    • Dense polyurethane blocks seat between the top of the factory springs and the underside of the SuperSprings
  • Require no maintenance - no tubing or air pressure to monitor or adjust like air springs
  • Extend the life of brakes, tires, and factory suspension
  • Made in the USA

SuperSprings diagram of roller and shackle system for extra leaf spring

These additional leaf springs add support and sway control to your existing OEM suspension. Just bolt on SuperSprings over your existing factory springs, and they automatically work when you need them. As the factory spring flexes, a roller at each end of the beefy helper spring reacts to engage the helper spring and to provide extra support. The springs help to better distribute cargo weight throughout your existing suspension, channeling that weight to the points on the frame that are designed to support heavy loads.

SuperSprings leaf spring installed on a vehicle

Placing these leaf springs above your factory springs helps to keep your OEM springs from twisting, so the SuperSprings act like a sway bar, reducing the body roll that makes driving more difficult and dangerous. With these helper springs, driving is safer and easier when it's windy, when your vehicle is rocked by a passing semi, and when you are cornering. The springs help to reduce sway by up to 30 percent. SuperSprings also allow more wheel travel in the rear suspension when they are under load, so they maintain traction and ride comfort better than rubber or polyurethane bumpers. That means they're great for drivers who frequently tow.

You can also customize the level of support provided by SuperSprings. For most models, the shackles that attach the helper leaf springs to your existing leaf springs have several installation options:

  • For greater support and ride height when your suspension is under a constant load or if you have an older automobile with some spring fatigue, install the helper springs using the upper bolt holes
  • To maintain the factory ride and reduce the effect on your ride height, install using the lower bolt holes
  • To balance support, height, and ride comfort, install using the upper hole on one end and the lower hole on the other

SuperSprings are a maintenance-free, low-cost alternative to air spring systems, which require constant monitoring and air pressure adjustment. These helper leaf springs respond automatically to the load you carry, so there is no crawling under your truck to adjust them. You'll also reduce wear and tear on your suspension, brakes, and tires, which saves you money. The bolt-on installation means that they are easy to fit - no drilling required.

  • Compatibility of Super Springs Vehicle Suspension Enhancer for 2012 Ford F-250
I can help you find the right Super Springs Vehicle Suspension Enhancer for your 2012 Ford F-250. The SSA15 is custom fit for the 2008-2010 Ford F-250 so it will not fit your 2012. The correct custom fit Super Springs Vehicle Suspension Enhancer for your 2012 Ford F-250 is the # SSA13. I have also linked all the other custom fit suspensions for your F-250 for your convenience.

  • Suspension Enhancement for a 2010 Ford F-250 Super Duty with Blue Ox Gooseneck Trailer Hitch
The Timbren suspension enhancement springs, # TFR250SDF, will mount to the inside of the frame rails on the truck. This could cause interference issues with the Blue Ox gooseneck because of the u-bolts used to attach the hitch to the frame. Since the frame on the truck above the axle is blocked by the u-bolts and hitch, systems like the Timbren will most likely not work. What I recommend is to go with a set of SuperSprings, # SSA15. These springs fit over the leaf spring pack and will...

  • Are Fit Exclusions for Super Springs # SSA15 Leaf Spring Kit Noted on Website
We do note any fit exclusions for certain vehicle characteristics on our product pages when you use our terrific Fit Guide. I was able to review your prior questions to etrailer to see what vehicle you have, noting it is a 2010 Ford F-250 Super Duty. The included link will show you the page for Super Springs leaf spring kits for your truck. In the Installation Notes section you will indeed see the comment "Product intended for vehicles without factory top overload springs".

  • Rear Suspension Enhancement Options for a 2008 Ford F-250 With a Gooseneck Hitch
Since the u-bolts from your gooseneck hitch wrap all the way around your vehicle frame, the only rear suspension enhancement system option that we have for your 2008 Ford F-250 is the SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway-Control Kit, # SSA15. The u-bolts from your gooseneck hitch will interfere with the top brackets of the Timbren springs and similar suspension enhancement systems. The SuperSprings are easy to install and simply bolt on above your existing factory springs....

  • Will 3K SuperSprings Suspension Stabilizer Work with 2.8K Pin Weight on Trailer for 2009 Ford F-250
The SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit part # SSA15 which is a fit for your 2009 Ford F-250 will technically work for you as the weight capacity of 3,000 lbs is under the pin weight of your trailer. That said, when you factor in the hitch, other items in the truck bed, and the varying ping weight based on load you're going to exceed the capacity of the system more than likely. Therefore, I recommend a higher rated system such as the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper...

  • Recommended Suspension Enhancement For 2010 Ford F-250 4x4 Extended Cab
Since you do not like using air bags for suspension enhancement, I recommend the SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit, part # SSA15. These are designed to help reduce sway and sag and have a 2,600-lb capacity. No drilling is required for installation. You want to make sure you do not exceed the load capacity of your F-250.

  • SuperSprings Leaf Spring Stabilizer Recommendation for a 2010 Ford F-250
The SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway-Control Kit # SSA15 that you referenced will work on your 2010 Ford F-250 without overload springs without needing an additional adapter.

  • Suspension Enhancement for a 2008 Ford F-250 with 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installed
The Firestone suspension enhancement system, # F2071, is not designed for the 2008 Ford F-250 so the short answer is no. What I recommend , if your 5th wheel underbed brackets install on the outsides of the frame rails is # F2550. This kit has brackets that install on the bottom and insides of the frame rails. Another option, if the bottoms of the frame rails are free of obstructions, is a Timbren system like # TFR250SDF. These are not springs that inflate but they work in much the same...

  • Helper Springs for a 2015 Ram 3500 Single Rear Wheels
Firestone no longer makes the R4 Tech. But we do have some suspension enhancement products that you can use on your new 2015 Ram 3500. If your Ram is 4 wheel drive you can use kit # F2615. If your truck is 2 or 4 wheel drive and does NOT have factory top overload springs you can use # SSA10 or # SSA15. Or if it does have factory top overload springs, you can use # SSA23.
