    • Lift your truck when you are carrying a heavy load and prevent bottoming out
  • Adjust automatically to your payload
    • Rollers on each end of the SuperSprings activate when the OEM springs flex under load
    • Rollers deactivate when OEM springs aren't under load

SuperSprings diagram of roller and shackle system for extra leaf spring

These additional leaf springs add support and sway control to your existing OEM suspension. Just bolt on SuperSprings over your existing factory springs, and they automatically work when you need them. As the factory spring flexes, a roller at each end of the beefy helper spring reacts to engage the helper spring and to provide extra support. The springs help to better distribute cargo weight throughout your existing suspension, channeling that weight to the points on the frame that are designed to support heavy loads.

SuperSprings leaf spring installed on a vehicle

Placing these leaf springs above your factory springs helps to keep your OEM springs from twisting, so the SuperSprings act like a sway bar, reducing the body roll that makes driving more difficult and dangerous. With these helper springs, driving is safer and easier when it's windy, when your vehicle is rocked by a passing semi, and when you are cornering. The springs help to reduce sway by up to 30 percent. SuperSprings also allow more wheel travel in the rear suspension when they are under load, so they maintain traction and ride comfort better than rubber or polyurethane bumpers. That means they're great for drivers who frequently tow.

Truck before SuperSpringsTruck after SuperSprings

You can also customize the level of support provided by SuperSprings. For most models, the shackles that attach the helper leaf springs to your existing leaf springs have several installation options:

  • For greater support and ride height when your suspension is under a constant load or if you have an older automobile with some spring fatigue, install the helper springs using the upper bolt holes
  • To maintain the factory ride and reduce the effect on your ride height, install using the lower bolt holes
  • To balance support, height, and ride comfort, install using the upper hole on one end and the lower hole on the other

SuperSprings are a maintenance-free, low-cost alternative to air spring systems, which require constant monitoring and air pressure adjustment. These helper leaf springs respond automatically to the load you carry, so there is no crawling under your truck to adjust them. You'll also reduce wear and tear on your suspension, brakes, and tires, which saves you money. The bolt-on installation means that they are easy to fit - no drilling required.

Video Transcript for SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer Review

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the SuperSprings lines of custom suspension stabilizer and sway control kits. You'll want to use etrailer's fit guide to determine the correct kit for your vehicle. Here's what our SuperSprings are going to look like once we have them installed. Now these are going to give us the support we need whenever we're hauling a heavy load or towing a heavy trailer. Typically, whenever we're hauling something extremely heavy our suspension wants to flex a lot and our back end sags down. Well these are going to provide us the extra support by activating whenever our suspension flexes, the rollers on the end of our leaf spring are going to activate our helper spring and provide us that extra support.

But also still giving us a nice ride when we're not towing something heavy, because it's going to deactivate those springs and still have a nice comfortable ride. And since they are attached to the front and back of our factory leaf springs, it's also going to act like a sway bar and it's going to prevent our leaf springs from twisting. Giving us a lot more stability when we're driving down the road. The multiple notches in the end here are going to provide us with a little bit of customization, depending on how much support we need. If we need more or if we just have a little bit of spring fatigue in our truck, it'll give us that little bit of lift so whenever we're towing something we don't have quite as much sag.We have a water tank in the bed of our truck as a heavy load or to simulate the tongue weight of a heavy trailer or a fifth wheel. So as I take the truck through my test course, I can definitely tell that there's a load back there.

The engine doesn't seem to be straining that much, but the bumps are extremely harsh and I can definitely feel it resonating through the seat. When I come to the slalom course and I'm going through the turns it definitely has a lot of body roll and I just generally feel like I need to slow down because it feels like it's leaning a lot and it's not responding quickly enough to the turns. The SuperSprings installed and I have the same load back there. When I'm driving through our course I can immediately tell a difference. The bumps aren't as harsh because the truck isn't sagging down as much and there's a little bit more support back there. But really where I tell a big difference is through the slalom course.

It definitely feels way more stable and even taking the turns going in and out, it just feels like it really wants to stick to the ground a lot better and just generally wants to go faster.Compared to airbags, these are a maintenance free option with no tubes to run or air pressure to maintain. Similar to airbags you can customize the level of support provided. Unlike airbags however you do this during the installation and set it one time rather than on the fly adjustability you get with airbags. And that completes our look at the SuperSprings line of custom suspension stabilizer and sway control kits.

The Super Springs work great! I pull a 8,500# trailer with a hitch weight of 950# with a 2004 GMC Sierra 1/2 Ton. The truck pulls fine but even with an equalizer hitch still had some sag. The Super Springs were easy to install and leveled the rig. After a year everything still works great.

Comments
One Year later still no sag.

Just put on super springs 2019 f150 for towing a camper that is awful in wind. The installation was easy. Hoping the springs help with a stable ride. I will update when I get the camper out of storage.

Installed on a 2016 Toyota Tundra. I pull a 28 foot aluminum frame utility trailer. Hauls like a 3/4 ton with super spring. Rides like 1/2 ton without load. I have put 1 ton load on truck with no trailer and the truck drove fine. The front of truck at tires rose 1/2 inch. Installation requires the frame to be lifted off the axel.at rear of vehicle. I like this system better than air shocks as there is no adjustment after installation. I would purchase again.

This was by far the easiest mod I have made to my 2019 Ford Super Duty King Ranch! Only took 45 minutes start to finish. Didn't even take the wheels off. Took some pressure off of the springs by lifting the rear end a little using the trailer hitch. Used the bottom holes on both ends and only raised the rear of the body 1 inch. Great product!

Product worked as described. Shipping was quick (etrailer used "air" to my state, then on UPS truck) Easy to install, not sure why they included 2 sets of polyurethane blocks (only one set fit my truck) Don't notice any ride difference when set at lowest setting. Raised truck approximately 3/4". East to readjust for more preload if needed. Combined these Super Springs with Timbren load handlers. So far so good. Great improvement over stock while maintaining ride quality.

The supersprings are simple to install. Good instructions. They have done a great job on helping with weight. The Poly Spring Pads do not last. I have had this setup for 7 months and the pads are falling apart.

Comments
Installed it about a year ago. The springs are working out great. I don’t have the sagging of the rear end like I use to when towing. I have had to replace the pads once, but besides that, it’s a awesome system.

The kit looks really good but I can’t figure out how to install. Enclosed are two photos showing my van suspension and the parts your sent. The instructions do not show my van with only one spring. Can you advise?????????????? Thanks.

Comments
If you look at page 4 of the instructions which Ive linked for you, you can see photos showing a single leaf spring set up just like whats shown in the photos you provided thanks for the photos!. Im guessing that page was not included in your instructions for some reason.

Review from a similar Sway-Control in Vehicle Suspension

I bought these for my 2011 Silverado 1500 crew cab 4wd, truck had a 6” lift and 35” tires. I was frequently towing a 5k pound horse trailer ( bumper pull not gooseneck ) and was getting a lot of bounce in the truck. As a honest review, I installed them ( quick and easy I add ) and removed them a month or so later. They did everything they were suppose to, sway was better, felt more In control at high speeds, and less squat on the truck. My complaint was my truck rode like a 3/4 ton truck without the trailer and I didn’t have 3/4 ton power. So I removed them to get my ride quality back, eventually selling the truck and buying a 3/4 ton. Now in another 3/4 ton for a few week, I would say it wasn’t as bad as a true 3/4 ton, but it does firm up the ride a bit. I still give it 5 stars because it did exactly what it was suppose to, super cost effective, easy to install and remove, no fabrication etc. also I requested some precise measurements on individual pieces from etrailer customer service for fitment with my lift kit and they responded same day with all measurements I needed. Sum up if your debating, it’s easy to install, easy to remove, way cheaper than bags, adjustable, work great.

Review from a similar Sway-Control in Vehicle Suspension

I got this to prevent bottoming out my truck when towing our travel trailer. Won't know for sure if this actually works until we load up. Having said that, the instructions provided with this are poor and talking with Supersprings tech support was frustrating. As mentioned elsewhere, you will need two "C" clamps to pre-load the spring and I wound up fabricating a 3" extension bracket for the brake lines; neither of which were mentioned in the instructions. I also removed the wheels to provide working space and air tools are definitely the way to go. On my '13 Tundra, the distance between the stock spring pack straps is 40" the same as the distance between the eyes on the Superspring. I was advised that the spring is mounted off-center to avoid conflict with the stock spring straps; however this in not mentioned in the instructions. This placed the Superspring about 4" forward of the center of the axel instead of centered on the axel. (see photos) This seems counterintuitive to me but we'll see. This added 1.5" in height to the rear of the truck. It took me 4 hours to install by my self, including time to fabricate the brake line extensions and dealing with Supersprings staff twice on the phone. During the second call, the tech mentioned that they get a lot of phone calls for Tundra installs, indicating to me that they already know there are issues with the product and instructions. In retrospect, I would look for a new spring pack if I was doing this again. Hopefully my suspicions are unfounded but I'm hanging on to the box just incase. Etrailer was great with the best price anywhere and quick shipping.

I was able to install at our campsite with the help of an [xx] dollar G clamp from Harbor Freight, a 12 ton bottle jack which I already owned, and two adjustable wrenches that were mine. I took it for an hour test drive just south of Dallas on a real mixture of road conditions with a strong cross wind, and it's handling is so much better. It feels normal to drive. No more sloshy wobbly, and wind from passing trucks barely affect the RV as we tow a car behind. Clearance of the rear of the vehicle is normal. Yay! Problem solved!

Overall, the installation of the SuperSprings kit went pretty well. The instructions sent with the kit were not all that clear, but the info on etrailer's website saved the day. Can't wait to put the camper back on the truck and see how it rides!

Review from a similar Sway-Control in Vehicle Suspension

I was able to install the supersprings while parked in an RV park with a little help from my neighbor from Alaska. My wife and I are full timers and the motorhome is at the max allowed weight on the rear axle. The stock springs let the back of the motorhome ride too low. During installation I had to strain relief some wiring and finagle the spring around the exhaust heat shield on one side of the coach. Installation on the other side was easy. BTW, eat your Wheaties because these things are heavy (50+ lbs). The good news: they raised the back of the motorhome a bit more than 2”. Bad news: The ride is now super stiff and harsh (sort of like a hardtail Harley) and the handling is a lot more squirrelly. I put in over $4K of other items to improve the handling and stability of the motorhome and these springs pretty much negated them all. My wife does not like the ride and I don’t like the handling so I’m thinking of removing them. I gave them two stars because they did raise the coach 2”. Maybe they’ll work for you but I am a bit disappointed.

If you watch the video on installation from the model - SSA13MXKT, you will see how to install them, that's why I don't have any pictures. It took me about 2-1/2 hours to install. The brackets were a plated color and I painted everything black before installed them. My truck was pretty clean underneath so I think they look better. I installed them on a 2019 GMC Denali HD 2500 Duramax. As far as handling, after the install, I did not notice too much difference empty. But - when I had my 5th wheel hooked up, there was a difference, not a significant amount, but a difference. My pin weight on the trailer is roughly 1,350 lbs. also. Now for the dimensions here is what I got - I would say, these dimensions are within an 1/8". The dimensions were taken from the center of the tire to a line on the truck, front and rear. BEFORE INSTALL - Rear - 43" Front - 40-1/8" AFTER INSTALL - Rear - 44" Front - 40-1/16" WITH MY CAMPER HOOKED UP 1,350 lbs. Pin Weight (CAT Scale Certified) Rear - 42-5/8" Front - 40-1/8" As you can see, it dropped the truck down 1-3/8". Before the install my truck would "squat" approximately 2-1/2" So, they made a big difference, an 1-1/8" difference. Before the install, the front was about (I never got a good measurement on that) 41".

2013 Toyota Tundra 4x4. Installation went well in my garage with a medium sized C-Clamp. The ride feels that same as stock. Lifted the rear 1.5" which helped off set the 2.5" lift in the front from Fox 2.0 shocks. I have not hauled a load yet.

The springs, I’ve used on a couple different vehicles over the years, as I’ve also used several air bag set ups, I wanted the simplicity of a one and done for the life of the vehicle kind of setup. This is what I get with these. Install was fairly easy with my available tools and I would easily recommend these to anyone that wanted something purposeful, reliable and straight forward. I load the van with ADV motorcycles, Dirtbike’s and trailers full of gear, supplies and wood and they do just fine, keep a level ride and don’t say in the least. Satisfaction thus far! application

Very pleased with the performance. Back of the truck sits a little higher when unloaded, and rides about the same (subjective though; I imagine some people would notice a difference). And when fully loaded the truck no longer squats in the back.

  • Will the SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer Help Bottoming Out On 2016 Pleasure Way Lexor TS
The SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit part # SSA11 is an excellent option for a 2016 Pleasure Way Lexor TS on a Ram ProMaster 3500 Chassis. It will do a great job of helping to prevent rear end sag thereby increasing ground clearance. Unlike the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-313-47, they will engage right away so this should then do a much better job of making sure you have as much ground clearance as possible. The chassis on your 2016 Ford Transit T250 cutaway is the same as the cargo van models so you can use SuperSprings # SSA11. But what I recommend that will work just as well and that costs less is the SumoSprings # SSR-121-54. They will help keep the van level, absorb road shock, and reduce sway or body roll.

If you already have the OEM anti-sway bar, the addition of SuperSrings # SSA11 will offer pretty effective sway resistance, but would also raise your ride height by about an inch and would also help...
