Firestone Ride-Rite springs are designed to increase safety and reduce the strain on your vehicle when you are hauling heavy loads or towing a heavy trailer. The springs partner with your existing rear suspension system to help keep your vehicle level, maintain even load distribution and increase stability. Hauling heavy loads or towing a heavy trailer can make the rear of your vehicle sag and the front end rise. This puts more strain on your rear axle and reduces contact between your front tires and the road, causing problems with braking, steering control and traction. By adding air springs to your rear suspension, you can help to level your vehicle and improve braking and handling. The air springs also help to level your headlight beams and reduce wear on your tires.
Adjustable Air Pressure
The air pressure in your Ride-Rite springs can be adjusted manually, side to side, to compensate for off-center loads. A centered load improves the stability of your vehicle by reducing body roll. The air springs will also help to absorb road shock and to soften contact between your axle and frame. This prevents bottoming out, thus improving ride comfort. Route the air line tubing for the springs to your vehicle's bumper to provide easy access to the manual inflation valves.
Air Spring Construction
Firestone's double-convoluted Ride-Rite air springs are designed to give you maximum load support and enhance the performance and ride comfort of your vehicle. The rubber springs provide cushioning between your suspension components and operate at up to 100 psi. The springs have four layers of reinforced rubber to ensure durability and enhance load support. A braided wire girdle creates the double-convoluted shape of each air spring, increasing the burst pressure of the spring. The rubber springs are attached to corrosion-resistant metal end plates with a time-proven, rolled crimp seal that keeps the bags securely anchored.

Each Ride-Rite kit includes custom-fit brackets that connect to your axle and frame. The brackets provide the mounting points for the air springs. Drilling may be required for some applications.

They reduce strain on your rear axle, keep your vehicle level, and adjust to load size for a consistently smooth ride.I’m 67 years old and with the help of my very capable son the bags were on in about 3 hours. I pulled off the wheel wells and trimmed them to clear the bags using the instructions as a guide, only using curves instead of corners (2001 Dodge Ram). Following the instructions was simple and understandable, no surprises. Used a cobalt bit on the frame with a spacer washer due to the slight slant. Cut the long bolts to fit just the top leaf because of the lack of space between the bolt and mainspring. Mounted the air valves on the hitch with the supplied mount and ziplocks.
This is the second time I’ve purchased from etrailer, I bought torklift tie downs several months ago and they arrived with a major part missing. I was on a very tight time frame and after calling customer service they overnighted a new package and amazingly my schedule was met! I will certainly be using them in future purchases.
I understand it's a very good product I have not been able to install them on the vehicle yet but they look good

Awesome
First off, I was surprised at how soon it arrived. I was also impressed that it truely was a Firestone product, through and through. I have not installed it yet, but all of the items, brackets, hardware, tubing seem first rate. The brackets were heavier duty than what I was expecting. The air bags are smaller versions of what is used on semi-truck and trailers. (I'm a retired fleet mechanic.) I'm excited to begin installing in the morning!
I have bought several products from you in the last year. The last product was missing parts.when I called to let you know about it the people I talked to were helpful and nice. I haven't received the missing parts yet. I would have thought you would have expedited the shipment to get it here since my truck is sitting up in the air waiting for those parts. 2nd thing is anytime I talk to someone from tech support I get the feeling that I'm talking to the person that hasn't had anything to do with the design or installation of the product.

Product was exactly as described and while an installation on a 40+ year old truck was somewhat interesting, the instructions were informative enough to allow me to make minor adjustments and create a good fit. One of the Schraeder valves was defective but Firestone replaced it.

Great! No issues of any kind.
Absolutely great product. Haul trailers quite often with heavy loads and these air bags did the trick in helping firm the truck up a bit and handle the extra weight. Fairly easy to install also as it took 2 of us about 2 hours or so. I would recommend to anyone needing similar assistance for their truck.
False information about vehicle fitment. I used the vehicle fitment tool to ensure that this would fit my truck and it shows that it fits. I purchased the kit and it doesn’t fit. When I questioned the fitment I was told that it doesn’t fit my truck and that I would be charged xx dollars to return the product to cover shipping and that they understand how it could be deceiving the way it shows it fits my truck when they are aware it doesn’t and that there was nothing they could do about it other than charge me return shipping. I was super excited to use these on my truck and now I’m super frustrated with a company that I feel is deceitful and has no intention of trying to not continue that in the future. I know that this is the last product I will ever purchase from e trailer. I’ll go somewhere that is honest instead.

I can see how it could be confusing. However, I do see that this is a confirmed fit for the 1969 Chevrolet CK Series Pickup. but only the C30 Pickup. If you dont have the C30, then thats probably where you got confused.
I love my new airbags and they are super easy to install, I also am surprised at how fast they shipped the air bags, 10/10 would recommend
Every order has been exactly as described with fast shipping and great customer service. I have ordered many parts for my truck camper set up and couldn't be happier with E-Trailer.
I Purchased these airbags as replacement for my original Firestone airbags that were so old, they were then known as Airstroke Actuator Bags (a good 20 years old). These new Ride-Rite bags are made from a slightly softer and more pliable compound, and are comparable to the bags on Semi-Trucks, but smaller. The ride is greatly improved, and I also like that these bags were a super easy swap from my old bags - same exact hardware.
The original bags were about an hour and a half setup with drilling the frame. To swap out the old bags with the new was about 45 minutes.
Overall, I am VERY satisfied with this purchase. Thanks again to the ETrailer Crew for getting my shipment expedited so I was able to get the new bags on before my next trailer towing trip.
Great experience received my air helper springs only 2 days after ordering which is unheard of these days then installed them the next day and did exactly what they are supposed to do I’m pulling a 31 foot enclosed trailer and truck was on the overload springs which made for a horrible ride but not anymore would recommend this product and etrailer
Running a 1300 pound truck camper in a Ram 1500, with 30 psi, the truck handles like nothing is there. Had it semi off road with no issues. The only pain was the install due to having to drill the frame, but other than that I have no complaints.

My Firestone air bags were delivered across the nation as promised in 5 business days. This company obviously cares about Customer service...Oh and no shipping charges and the least expensive price I could find on the internet. My only issue is my wife...asking if I really need all these things for my new truck!! Thanks for the great service - I will definitley buy at etrailer first!
I bought these for my 1996 f250. I have the b&w Gooseneck hitch. I was able to make them work with it. Small amount of fabrication but it does work and has worked well for a year now.
My camper weighs 11000 pounds and this helps get my truck level. This is a great product and the service was exceptional thanks.
Fit my 1999 Dodge 2500 perfectly, lifted my camper 3 inches with nice soft, stable ride, solved overloaded spring problem. Be careful inserting air lines into fittings...they don't easily release and we messed one up.
Perfect bolt on and has changed my day to day with my work truck.
Easy install, and leveled our F350 with 25 foot trailer up.

It took awhile to get the order but thur it all I got it and they came thur for me. Virus,factory back orders, bad weather, but I’m happy . Good company to deal with been using them for years !,!
As expected good quality, installation not too bad.
Only complaint is I was short one bolt 3/8 x 16 x 1.5", so a trip to the hardware was needed.
