Hello, neighbor, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Sylvania 881 Halogen Fog Bulb. It's a basic 27 watt. You're gonna get quantity one with purchase. Folks, this will replace the standard equipment of your 27 watt fog light halogen bulb with the same grade and specifications as your OEM. Now, if you look carefully, you can see the plastic tabs here, so when you're installing this, you're gonna be carefully either twisting it one way or another to loosen it and pull it out of the headlight assembly or fog light assembly rather, and then you'll be re-plugging it in.
Now, to that, I want you to follow your OEM instructions and your Owner's Manual of your vehicle to be sure you're doing that correctly. Also, if you notice I'm not touching the bulb. You wanna make sure if you're wearing gloves or something, if you're ever gonna have to touch the bulb part, it's probably a good idea, best practice to wear gloves when you're touching any of it. But if you're careful, like I am here today with the plastic on the bottom, I'm being very careful just to touch that just for demonstration purposes only, but the oils in your fingers and skin can actually transfer to the bulb and degrade the lifespan of it, so you don't want that happening. Now, these are legal for on-road use, they meet all DOT regulations for both performance and the lifestyle of the bulb, and we recommend that you replace both bulbs on both sides of your vehicle.
That just gives you a more consistent light level on both sides and color as some manufacturer's bulbs can vary in range. This particular one is a 3,100 kelvin color temperature, and that just means it emits a pure more neutral white color than say your standard 2,700 kelvins that probably came with your OEM. Well, folks, that will wrap it up for a quick look today. I'm Steven, once again, thank you for your time. I hope it's been enlightening for you today.
Have a good one.
