Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the RV Holding Tank Heater. Now this foil-covered heater is used to prevent your RV freshwater or septic tank from freezing. This will protect while you're driving, and it protects while you're parked. It is a dual voltage heater, so it's ready for 12 volt or 110 volt applications.
And the heater delivers a safe 120 watts and draws about 10 amps on DC circuit and one amp on an AC circuit. You use a 12 volt DC system while you're driving or when you're parked, and operating off the DC battery system. And you use 120 volt AC when you're parked and the RV is connected to an AC system. It does have a built-in thermostat that automatically turns on when the temperature drops below 34 degrees. Dimensions on this, it's 30 inches long, 13 inches wide.
We mention it's a foiled-covered heater, you can see here. And when I zoom into the connections, back here, we have the 22 inch black ground wire, and the 22 inch red positive wire, for operating and connecting on a 12 volt DC system. Up here, we have a 24 inch long green ground wire, and a 6 foot long molded, corded plug set for maximum safety when you're operating on 120 volt AC system. Now this can be used with multiple heaters when needed. One of these heaters, this one right here, will protect a standard 15 gallon tank.
For a 30 gallon tank, you'll need to use two of these heaters, and for a 45 gallon tank, they recommend three of these heaters. Just to show you, very thin flexible design, so it can be folded. But that should do it for the review on the RV Holding Tank Heater..
