When your truck is working harder under tow, factory brakes can feel slower to respond. This rear brake upgrade kit pairs severe-duty pads with rotors that manage heat and deliver strong initial bite, so repeated stops stay smooth and predictable.
Adding trailer weight changes how your truck responds when you press the brake pedal, especially during sudden stops or repeated braking. These brake pads use a severe-duty, low-metallic friction formula that delivers a strong initial bite, while the matched rotors use OEM-style vanes to help manage the added heat towing creates. Together they give your truck a more immediate, predictable braking response that stays consistent through repeated stops.
Brake vibration often traces back to uneven rotor machining or inconsistent braking surfaces, especially after repeated heat cycles. The rotors use computer-controlled castings with fly-cut, mill-balanced construction and meet or exceed OE specifications for machining tolerances. A non-directional cross-hatch finish promotes even pad bed-in, helping your brake service start with uniform contact and maintain smooth pedal feel as your truck accumulates miles.
New brake components require a break-in period before they deliver their intended performance. These brake pads use positive mold manufacturing to produce consistent density and precise dimensions, then add a bed-in coating that improves initial pedal feel and shortens the break-in process. Multi-layer vulcanized rubber shims help limit the extra noise commonly associated with high-bite low-metallic pads, so your truck delivers responsive braking without unnecessary chatter.
Road spray, moisture, and winter conditions often leave exposed brake components looking rough long before the friction surface wears out. The G3000 premium raw iron rotors use an OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, vanes, and edges to help reduce rust on exposed non-friction surfaces. Your rotors stay looking better between services without affecting braking performance.
Replacing brake rotors is a job many experienced DIYers can handle, but brakes are one of those projects where being almost right is still wrong. If you would rather leave it to a professional, find an installer near you.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Timbren Rear Wheel BES Brake Upgrade Kit. Now this kit has been designed to fit your 2015 to 2017 Ford F-150 with the electronic parking brake. And on custom fit parts such as this kit, I do recommend going through our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer, pop in the year, make, and model of your vehicle and answer any other questions that it might have for you. And our fit guide will confirm if this kit will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now upgrading your suspension on your truck can definitely improve your ride quality, help reduce the sag, and make your truck feel more comfortable, more stable while you're towing or hauling.
But it doesn't reduce the extra workload that's placed on your factory brakes. So if you've ever felt like that your truck is taking longer to stop when you're towing or you have a heavier load or maybe your brakes are wearing out faster than you expected or that added weight is making your braking feel less confident, that's where this BES Brake Upgrade Kit comes in. This kit is designed to give your truck stronger, more consistent braking when it's carrying those heavier loads or towing. Now these do include these low metallic brake pads and they're going to provide a strong initial bite. So you're going to notice more confident stopping power right away.
These multi-layered rubber shims are going to help keep brake noise to a minimum without sacrificing braking performance. And as you can see there, I'd have a photo of an example of one of the shims there actually taken apart just to kind of give you the detail there and showing you what's all involved there with the construction of that shim. And then you see the pad itself there on the other side of the screen as well. So those multi-layered rubber shims are going to help keep that squeaking to a minimum and the positive molded pads paired with these precision balance rotors are going to promote smooth, even braking and more consistent pedal feel. Speaking of these rotors, these are OEM-style vented rotors as you can see here.
So that's going to help dissipate heat during repeated stops to reduce brake fade when towing. And these are premium G3000 raw iron rotors and they feature Timbren's OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, vanes, and outer edges. And that coating is going to help protect them from rust that can be caused by road spray, moisture, and just winter driving, keeping your brakes looking cleaner between services without affecting braking performance. Now the pads and the rotors also feature a braking coating and finish that's going to help speed up the bedding in process. So you're going to be able to enjoy consistent braking performance sooner after installation.
And installation's going to be pretty straightforward as well. You're going to get everything that you see here on my table. But if you think you need help with installation, on this product page typically found underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our installer locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to help you with the install. But overall, if you've already upgraded the suspension system on your truck for that smoother, more controlled ride, this brake kit is going to compliment that by addressing, if you will, the other half of that equation. This is going to give your truck the stopping power and the confidence to better handle that extra weight that you're hauling or towing. And together they're going to help create a safer, more capable towing setup. I think that's going to wrap up our look today. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
