UWS Slim Line Series offers full-size features for smaller truck beds by using the limited space in front of the wheel well. The toolbox sits along the truck bed 4" above the rails, fitting snugly behind the cab. The insulated, beveled, single lid opens to a full 90 degrees with the help of two super-duty lift cylinders, which raise the lid and hold it open as you load and unload your gear. The divided tool tray provides additional storage for smaller items, ensuring that they are readily available.

Video Transcript for Beginner’s Guide to Installing the UWS Truck Bed Toolbox on a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado

Today on our 2006 Chevrolet Colorado well be test fitting the UWS truck bed tool box narrow crossover style slim lien series at 3.4 cubic feet, in black, part number UWS00333. It features aluminum construction with fully welded seams and is guaranteed not to rust. Heavy duty stainless steel latches on both sides will lock on drivers side. The patented foam filled lid provides installation and protection from the elements. Heavy duty gas cylinders help to lift the lid and hold it open at a full 90 degrees. It contains a divided tray for tools and other miscellaneous items.

The J wall installation hardware is included and this toolbox is made in the USA. It comes with a one year warranty and included two keys and is 63 inches long by 12 inches wide and 9 inches high. Well go ahead and show you how it looks on the truck. You may need an extra set of hands for this process. Well lift this toolbox up onto the truck bed and make sure it is centered.

I had a professional mechanic help me. It is now properly installed and looks great on my truck. I was so happy to discover that a slimline toolbox was indeed available. My crew cab Tacoma only as has a five-foot bed. A larger tool box would have left me with only about 3.5 feet of bed. This slimline box allowed me to retain four feet of bed, which fits my needs. Very fine box. Good workmanship. I am very pleased with it and would recommend it to others who need a slimline design.

This Slim Line Series - 6.3 cu ft works very good with the side boxes on both sides of the truck. Have access to open from standing on the side of the pickup truck with the side boxes installed. Makes a nice combination for a pickup truck Installed on a 2022 F-150 6'5" bed.
