Easy Opening and Closing

This Red Label tool box is designed with a locking paddle handle, gas shocks and a self-centering latch. The tool box is well made. Everything arrived in excellent condition. It took a while to get it because Etrailer did not have it in stock and it had to be shipped from the factory. I like the toolbox.

Received the toolbox on 1/3 along with additional tray. Good service considering the weather around the U S.
I saw in one of the correspondences a request of returning a picture after the toolbox had been mounted.
The box was mounted inbed on a Ford 150 Platinum with an accordion style bed cover fully deployed ( Pic 1 ).
Pic 2 shows there is plenty of room between the top of the lid and the bottom of the bed cover.
Pic 3 shows the bed cover fully stacked with plenty of room to fully open the toolbox lid. Thus the toolbox has
weather protection and additional security by salvaging the bed cover. I looked at other styles but found the molding of the fender welds not conducive for inbed mounting. Although there is space between the sides of the box
and the side beds, it allows me to take advantage of the tie-downs mounted on the side beds. Thanks for the prompt service and staying in touch

Make sure you don't need this box to store anything. I didn't realize the angle on the front of the box was so pronounced, as it eliminates half the floor area. Very disappointed!

If you are looking for the name, then buy. if you want quality, buy different. this thing is so flimsy and thin! I set the box my hitch came in and just sitting there it was dented. Arrived in the box half out of whack. Installed anyway because needed for the one the work trucks. Dare to say dont lay a rope on top!

IT SEEMS TO BE WATER TIGHT FOR TRAVEL. IT HAS KEPT DUST OUT AS WELL. IT IS VERY PRACTICAL FOR WHAT I USE IT FOR, WHICH IS HAULING WHEEL CHOCKS, JACK AND TIRE EQUIPMENT, TOW ROPES, GAS CAN, ETC.

Great tool box, nice amount of storage. Purchased this model so it could be hidden away under my tonneau cover, fits perfectly. Removable tool tray has proven handy for keeping smaller items like ratchet straps and bungees easily accessible and organized. The only thing I didn't like are the little yellow "plugs" inside, when my cover has been up and the bed collects water, they aren't very effective at keeping the water from coming up through the bottom.

Latch are 2 close together and should be wider for easier access.

I chose this for my 5th wheel rv box and does not go above the top of the bed.
I only gave it a 4 star because of the latches

The tool box is about average quality in construction for a mid-level tool box. The box arrived later than I expected and although there was no damage to the box that contained the tool box, the tool box itself has several small dents and nicks on the paint. One serious dent on the rear corner threatens the ability to open the top lid all of the way. since there was no damage to shipping box it leaves one to assume that it was damaged before shipping and shipped anyway. There appears to be no quality control on DEE-ZEE's part or if there is then DEE-ZEE has no regard for their customers.Maybe China is too far away to manage QC. Maybe it would have helped if they had used some Bubble wrap or another packing cushion the damage would not have happened. I have pictures but because the box is black the damage does not shown up well.I doubt that I would ever buy another DEE-ZEE product. I am hesitant to purchase anymore products from etrailer because they sold me the DEE-ZEE toolbox.
