what installation screws are used for these lights. it seems like you need the screw to not have a head for the light to snap in the bracket.

The back of the lights that go with the Black Bracket and Single Wire Plug for Thin Line Series Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Lights, # A65PB, have a recessed area over the mounting holes. Take a look at # MC65RB, and click on the third picture to see the recessed area.
I went out to the warehouse and pulled both parts to measure. There is a space of 3/16 inches between the bottom of that recessed area and the base of the bracket. The screw head would have to be 3/16 inches tall or less to fit inside with the light on the base. The mounting hole will accept a screw with up to a 1/4 inch diameter.
