  Hey Andrew, thanks for the information. For a 4-1/2" cutout you'll want a light with a 4-5/16" diameter like the item # STL43RB for Red or the item # STL43A24B for Amber.   Your old two wire lights definitely used the mounting screw as the ground. Your new LED lights with 3 wires will be easy to transition. You will connect the running light wire and the turn/stop wire just as before, and then you will run the ground wire directly to your steel frame.   Peterson brake/turn signal light # 435800 is sealed and cannot be opened up to change out the bulb. I pulled one from the warehouse to verify this and cannot get the lens off (without breaking it) to access the bulb/interior of the light. There certainly is not enough power draw from LED lights to blow a stop light fuse on a vehicle so it would have to be a short somewhere.
