The 2" receiver on this hitch provides a mounting point at the rear of your vehicle for a variety of carriers and accessories. With these hitch-mounted accessories, you can transport your bike, snowboard, camping equipment, tailgating gear, and much more.
You can even install a ball mount (sold separately) into this hitch to gain the ability to tow a small trailer. With a 1,000-lb GTW, the hitch will allow you to tow a variety of accessories and lightweight equipment. Load up the kayaks for a weekend on the water. Or use a small utility trailer to carry equipment for your road trip or camping expedition. Or even tow a small motorcycle trailer. With this hitch, your MINI will have the flexibility to accommodate your lifestyle.
The Ultimate Utility Hitch is designed to stand the test of time. It's constructed of heavy-gauge steel tubing with fixture weldments. The steel is heat treated, making it 5-times stronger than non-heat-treated steel. The attachment adapters are CNC-machined, which limits defects and ensures consistent quality.
Additionally, the hitch frame goes through a 3-stage finishing process that removes any impurities or inconsistencies in the metal before depositing the matte black powder coat. This results in a smooth, consistent, corrosion-resistant finish.
The hitch has also been designed to complement the style of your MINI, ensuring that it matches the curves and shape of your vehicle. Other hitches on the market have receivers that sit below the bumper. But the M7 Ultimate Hitch sits next to the bumper to give you more ground clearance for mounting accessories.
With an estimated 10-minute installation time, the Ultimate Utility Hitch was engineered to connect directly to the tow hook attachment points in your vehicle's rear bumper.
The hitch comes with all of the hardware needed for installation. And you won't have to do any disassembling, cutting, welding, or drilling.
To get started, just pop off the (2) 2" diameter access covers located on the rear bumper. Then screw on the 2 connection adapters until they are secure. With the adapters in place, simply slide 1 side of the hitch about 1/4" onto an adapter and then align the other end with its adapter. Push the hitch evenly from both sides until it sets into position. No crawling under the car. No need to lower the exhaust. And you won't have to remove any fascia.

I love the hitch with ONE exception. The unit's hardware package was supposed to include two lockwashers. Unfortunately, none were included. Could you please send the missing lockwashers (I couldn't find ones that fit at our locale hardware store)?
Installation was truly a snap. It took longer to find the correct sockets and torque wrench than it did to install the system. Only 1 of the adapter bolts had a torque sticker labeled on it and it wasn't going to be easy to remove the label so I tried the installation with it on and had no problem with it interferring as 1 other review had mentioned. I didn't have to use a dead blow hammer or anything to pry the bar onto the adapters. The instructions forgot to mention the lock washers, but most people would catch that, I assume. There was plenty of room between the forward edge of the receiver and the trim above the bumper to allow my SoftRide bicycle carrier's long "tongue" to allow me to install the hitch locking bolt in the 2nd hole to be more stable. Keeping tabs on the view of the bike carrier through the back window to ever detect any sagging, if ever. I weighed my heavy bike and bike carrier and just over 1/2 the weight limit, so feeling pretty confident. Looks great. Some slight marring on the outer edges may have occurred in shipping or factory handling. I did use a rubber mallet to get the rubber plugs installed after torqueing all 4 "bolts".
Can't belive how easy that was to install. I only wish they made the receiver a couple of inches longer so the rack can be inserted more thus bringing it closer to the bumper.
Awesome trailer hitch. My husband thought I was kidding when I said I had found a hitch to fit my MINI - while keeping the sleek lines of the car. Fit perfectly and so streamlined that it's barely noticeable. You CAN drive a MINI and pull a small trailer with two kayaks!

Easy bolt-on hitch for the Mini Countryman. It holds our bike rack and kayak extension mount.
Exactly what I hoped it would be. I replaced my factory bike rack with this trailer hitch that has increased the versatility of my vehicle so much. I love it.
Great hitch for my Mini Countryman. Installed in minutes and perfectly fits my hitch mounted bike rack. The hitch is close enough to the bumper to not be a hazard but has enough clearance for my bike rack to fit nicely. I also like that the hitch is higher off the ground than some of the other hitch options. I included photos of before installation, after installation, a pic looking down, and then a couple of pics with the bike rack attached.
This was a true 15min bolt on job. On my old mini I cheaped out and paid dearly in time, skin, and mental duress.

Just wanted to confirm that the M7 hitch for the Non JCW WILL FIT the JCW bumper as well. The fitment is perfect actually with about 2-3mm gap in between.
Easy it fit and functions well. Some surface rust detracts from appearance.
This hitch does the job and the 5 min installation process could not have been easier.
Top notch quality, easy to install. Best hitch for the paceman in my opinion. I combo it with the Thule t2 pro xtb and it turned out great.

I bought this so that I wouldn't have to keep putting my bike in the back of my Mini. I love the look of it and it was installed in 5 minutes. It looks like it was supposed to be part of the car from the start.
Took more time getting it out the box than to install. Easy install vs time at a shop having your bumper removed and spending $xxx+ on hitch and labor.
Excellent product. I had some difficulty with the original mount kit, and I reached out to Natalie from e trailer, who in turn reached out to the manufacturer, who priority mailed me a new kit.
Long story short, the hitch is mounted and ready for use. Great customer service! Thanks e trailer!

Still working out great. We used it last summer to haul our recumbent trikes all over the eastern US
I am very pleased with this product. Every car should have such a simple hitch system. Although I really had to muscle the bolts all the way in, perhaps a bit of lube would have helped. Otherwise, simple to use.
To mount a hitch on many cars requires a lift and removal of bumper, disconnection of wiring and big expense. I highly recommend this product.
this 2 inch trailer hitch looks great on the mini cooper countryman and very easy to install.....you don't have to crawl under the car to attach from underneath.its a very sturdy piece of metal.......I would recommend this hitch to anyone looking for a good quality hitch...

We have not used the hitch yet; however, the service from trainer has been excellent. Shipping was speedy and everything arrived intact. The hitch took a few minutes to install and it looks great on the back of our Countryman. Looking forward to attaching our cargo carrier to take on our road trip.
This product works great and has solved numerous logistical problems for our family because we now have TWO vehicles that can tow the trailer(s) instead of just one. Our other car is a Navigator, but, so long as we watch how heavy the load is, our MINI can haul our smaller trailer just fine. This product works great.
