Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Video Transcript for Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Infiniti JX35 - Draw-Tite

Today on our 2013 Infinity JX35 we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Class 3 Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 76031. With this hitch I like the clean look that it maintains, but it gives you very good usability and functionality. It gives a pretty nice, clean look and the face of the receiver tube opening here is nice and flush with the rearmost part of the bumper, so it doesn't protrude out but it does come out far enough that it's going to give you plenty of clearance for any of your hitch mounted accessories. Here it's got the 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening with nice reinforcement collar welded to the outside here. It's got 2 pin holes, it's got the standard 5/8 inch hitch pin hole that's going to be used to secure all your class 3 accessories. Then the smaller 1/2 inch hole which is there for use with a J pin stabilization system. Got the steel plate that's welded on the underside in order to make the safety chain connection point.

It's got nice large openings to make sure that just about whatever size safety chain you may have, you should be able to get it hooked up there without a problem. It also features this little bracket that's welded onto the cross frame. That's there to mount up any wiring that you may have like 4 pole or 7 way RV. It's there so you have easy access to it whenever you need it, because it's outside the vehicle on the hitch. This hitch features a 900 pound max tongue weight rating, and that's both with and without weight distribution system. Then it features a 6,000 pound gross trailer weight, again with and without weight distribution system. Now let's give you some measurements to help assist you with your selection of hitch mounted accessories such as ball mounts, bike racks, or cargo carriers.

The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost part of the rear bumper is 2 1/2 inches, and the distance from the top inside edge of the receiver tube opening to the ground is about 14 and 1/4 inches. Now we'll show you how to install this hitch. First thing we're going to need to do to begin our installation is we're going to need to remove this factory tow hook. It's going to have 4 bolts; 2 here on the underside of the frame and 2 up on the side that we're going to have to remove. They're all going to be an 18 millimeter head. Now I'm going to release this exhaust hanger just to let this hang down a little bit more so it'll be easier to get access to all of our holes.

You don't have to, but I'm just doing this to make it a little bit easier. In order to get that off of there you can use a pry bar or a pair of channel lock pliers if you don't have an exhaust hanger tool. See there we've got a little bit more movement now. Now inside each of the weld nuts that are up here, there's 3 on each side that we'll be attaching to. We've got a little bit of rust and grime built up in there. I'm going to put a little bit of that lubricant up in there, and I'm going to use a tube brush to help clean that up and just work a little bit of that rust off the surface.

If you want to pick one of those up you can get that on our site, part number 814092. I'm going to do that for all the holes. Now with an extra set of hands we can raise our hitch up into place. Line it up with the weld nuts, and then in one of them install one of our 12 millimeter bolts. On each of these, the way that we've got these washers set up is we've got the bolt with lock washer, and then flat washer on each of them. Then we can go through and get the rest of our hardware started. Then with all our hardware started we can take a 3/4 inch socket and begin to tighten them up. Before you do that you do want to make sure that that hitch is nice and centered on the vehicle. Now we can go back through and torque down our hardware to the specification listed in the instructions. Now with the hitch torqued down we can reinstall our exhaust hanger. That's going to complete our look at and installation of the Draw-Tite Class 3 Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 76031 on our 2013 Infinity JX35.

2018 Nissan Pathfinder

I ordered DrawTite hitch #76031 along with Tekonsha Wiring #118273 and HM40975, 7 and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket for my 2018 Nissan Pathfinder SL. I ordered on a Thursday afternoon and the merchandise arrived the following Monday evening (with free shipping and no tax). The hitch arrived in excellent condition with no scratches or scrapes and was packaged very well. The total for my order was a great price! This also included a tube of dielectric grease and a brush. To get a factory hitch would have required an expensive "Technology Package" at a cost of over $2000 or a dealer install which would have cost over $1000. I did the install of the hitch myself. It would have been far easier if I had a lift to raise the vehicle off the ground, and a helper to hold the hitch in place and get the 6 frame bolts started. I used an ice chest to prop up one side of the hitch while I got the bolts started on the other side. Watch the videos from etrailer before doing the install. I did have to trim about one-eighth of an inch off the corner of the gasoline vapor recovery box on the left underside of the vehicle to get the hitch into a position so that the holes in the hitch lined up with the weld nuts on the frame. I used a rotary file on the end of my drill to do this. The 2X2 receiver does barely touch the bottom of the rear trim on my Pathfinder but did not require cutting the trim to get it to fit. The Tekonsha #118273 Factory Wiring was not difficult to install. The etrailer video on how to install this item was not as good as it could have been. The installer says he is going to make the 2 vehicle connections inside the left-rear of the vehicle "by feel," which may be fine for someone who knows what he is doing, but was not helpful to me. I pulled back the trim on the inside left rear to make these 2 connections. You should definitely make ALL of your wiring connections BEFORE installing the hitch itself. If you don't, it will be very difficult to reach the connectors outside the right rear of the vehicle if the hitch is already in place. BE WARNED about this. The HM40975 connector was very easy to install and by having it you will not need to use an adapter to use a 4-way flat trailer connector. I used 2 stainless steel bolts to fasten the bracket into place instead of the included self-tapping bolts that were in the kit. This item is well worth the small cost. I am completely satisfied with my purchase from etrailer and will not hesitate to recommend them highly. Both George and Adam at Etrailer were very helpful. See the picture of the completed install on my 2018 Nissan Pathfinder SL. 566296

Very happy with my purchase of the 2013 Nissan Pathfinder trailer hitch, 7 pin wiring harness and bracket. The videos really speed up the installation, especially the internal vehicle disassembly and wiring. Everything went to plan with no surprises. The parts are well engineered and good quality. I printed out the 7 pin connector schematic and used a 12 volt test bulb to verify functionality. I didn't break any of the plastic clips or skin my knuckles, which is a first for me. I purchased an inexpensive panel clip tool set, which makes removing the plastic trim a breeze. A screwdriver would work fine, but I needed an excuse to buy some more tools. I removed the blanking plugs from the external harness connectors before installing the hitch. It's easier to get at them. Don't pry the connectors off the body using a screwdriver. Use a pair of needle nose pliers on the reverse side of the clip to release them from the sheet metal. Excellent web site and videos make it easy to select the right parts. 476037

Infiniti QX60

Received the hitch on time and good condition (no box damage either). Waited a few days to install due to weather/heatwave in our area. My Infiniti QX60 sits low, so to compensate and get a good height to install, I just backed in and let the back tires sit on the edge of the garage entrance (sloped driveway helps). Started to remove the 4 bolts that holds the tow hook, but they were super tight! I almost gave up, but had an idea to use the torque wrench and it worked! Then, propped up the hitch with a small step stool and screwed in one bolt on right side, then one on the left. When all bolts were screwed in, I used a cordless impact wrench to just lightly tighten then bolts. And finally used the torque wrench to tighten them to specifications (76 ft-lbs). Very happy with the install and hitch looks great in my QX60!! 302058

2016 Infiniti QX60

I ordered this for my 2015 QX60. Shipping took just over a week and everything arrived in good shape. I have to say, this is an awesome hitch with no drilling or bumper modification at all. My only comment would be is that the bolts used to mount the bumper are 19mm not 18mm as indicated in the instructions. The bolts I needed to remove the existing tie-down brackets were 18mm so maybe that's the confusion. I called the manufacturer and they confirmed the 19mm bolts. I propped up one side to make it easier for a one-man install and tighted things down with a traditional ratchet before breaking out the torque wrench. Kudos to etrailer.com for providing a great DIY hitch at a great price. I'm already for tailgate season now! 292848

My hitch arrived sooner than expected and was flawless. It came complete with everything needed to finish the job. One piece of advice would be to start a bolt on the drivers side to hold it in place. Then install a bolt (on the passenger side) closest to the muffler bracket. it will make your life easier. If the bumper fascia rubs on your new hitch you can remove the brackets (only two bolts per bracket) holding it in place and bend them up slightly, then reinstall the bracket. 275888

2018 Nissan Pathfinder

I have a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder with the motion activated lift gate (MALG). The hitch fits nicely but it pushes up against the underside of the bumper slightly causing a some deflection, however no damage is done. No need to cut the bumper. The MALG works on occasion after several attempts (front kick, side kick, angled kick, jump kick, etc). I haven't found that sweet spot yet and still working on it. Overall, the installation was easy but requires two people. One to align the hitch while you bolt it in. I'm mainly going to use it with a bike rack and not so much towing. Final impression: Love it and recommend it. 544683

Ordered on SUN for 3-5 delivery... It was scheduled to arrive on WED... until snow storm hit midwest... Arrived on THU... still ahead of indicated time limit requested. Happy with the delivery time. * * * All items ordered came in the same box - hitch ball, wiring harness, and 7-way connector mount. Happy with the delivery of all parts. * * * Pricing of individual parts was not as much as I expected. We live in NC, so expedited shipping from MO isn't expensive either. * * * I am happy with the entire process of ordering and delivery through etrailer.com. I would recommend it to anyone who is preparing to experience the RV lifestyle or who needs a tow hitch on their vehicle for any other reason. Their sales and delivery departments are top-notch. Their videos are well made and to the point... Their education efforts appear to be a top notch as well; I have not seen a poorly made or much criticized video online from etrailer.com. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Until that time... 485572

the hardest part was getting my teenager down to the garage to help. installation was extremely easy. remove the 4 bolts holding the tow bracket, hold the receiver up to the frame, and bribe a teenager help run up 2 bolts to hold it in place, then install/tighten up the remaining 4 bolts and you're done. entire installation took 20 minutes and could probably be done by a trained monkey. pictures are of the tow bracket (removed, does not get reinstalled), three of the 6 bolts that hold it in place, and the receiver in place. 106932

Poor because the hitch is scratched everywhere, it's like someone returned it and they put it back in a box and send it to me 409242

I did need to make one small adjustment to get it to fit properly. There was a plastic flange on the back that was not allowing the holes for the bolts to the frame to line up properly. I was able to trim the plastic flange and get the hitch installed without a problem. You can see the problem in the two photos. 502912

Great product at a fair price. Excellent packaging. Very easy installation. Everything was exactly as the included instructions displayed. It took about 90 minutes start to finish with only hand tools. No helper or jack needed. Although the hitch itself fit the vehicle precisely, I had to remove the towing mount due to it overlapping the frame where the hitch mounts. Not a big deal as the tow truck guy can hook to the new hitch instead. A note which will likely be frowned upon by eTrailers, if you want to avoid removing the rear threshold, the trim piece, and the cargo compartment, and the huge speaker if installed, there is an alternative. If you pop off the access grill in the rear side panel, you can carefully cut the nonessential plastic out (using care not to remove the outer area where the grill plugs in) with a heated razor knife, you can easily access the harness plugs. The only negative was after paying extra for three day shipping, with a limited window to install it, it took FOUR full business days to receive. Overall, a great experience! 230596

2017 Nissan Pathfinder

Perfect fit for our 2017 Pathfinder. Kudos to etrailer.com for the software on the back end that so accurately matches their products to specific year, make, model, and trim. Double kudos for all of the videos... The reviews are great for showing the features of the products, answering questions before they're asked - way better than wading through FAQ's. And the installation videos... Wow! Walking through the installation videos is what made me decide to buy and DIY. I had thought of hitch installation as something that required drilling and cutting and welding. I had always thought "Take it to a place that does hitch installation, it's not a DIY project". After watching the video, I saw that, at least on our Pathfinder, it's quick, easy thing to do with the tools I've already got. It's installed and looks great. Thanks! 396967

I received my Draw Tite hitch today, The paint was severely chipped/peeled away in several places right out of the box. Not too happy with the finish, don't want the hitch to rust and the exposed chipped paint won't look good on my new Nissan Pathfinder that I took deliver on last week. 445744

to whom, My experience with the installation of this trailer hitch was excellent but for two minor problems. First, I ran in to some trouble getting the tow ring off. The bolts were very tight and not having an impact wrench made it tough to get enough leverage with my short socket wrench handle. I had to get a short pipe to fit over the handle to get enough leverage to brake the bolts loose. Second, balancing the hitch at on end on a bucket and lifting the other end to set the first bolt was a challenge. The exhaust pipe was also in the way for screwing in the other two bolt on that side. Other than these small difficulties I was totally impressed with easy of the installation that would have cost me $500.00 at the Dealership when I bought the SUV. Thank you-my wallet thanks-my wife thanks you and my ego thanks you. Warm regards, Tom AKA grampa Tappy 236624

Trailer hitch arrived quickly. The black paint was scratched a lot and the box was open when I received it, with no stabilization to hold he hitch firmly inside. There was no structural damage and you will not be able to see the scratches once installed. We had to remove the existing tow hook on the driver's side, but then realized there was another part in the way that would not allow the holes to line up. We ended up filing the plastic part quite a bit in order to get the hitch to fit. Because of this, it took longer than expected to attach (including a trip to the store for a file). Overall, I am happy with this product for the price. 457028

Very easy to install. This is the only hitch that doesn't require trimming any plastic and also retains the Pathfinders 5000# tow rating. Top tip on install; If you are doing it alone use a floor jack to help lift it up and start a few bolts on each side by hand, then torque to 79ft/lb spec. Only reason not 5 star is paint quality is not very good. Its like the factory painted over dirt or welding residue in areas. 406800

When it is installed, it looks like it was meant to be there. It took three of us to get it in place and installed. Lining the mounting plates with the weld nuts was a little tricky. Once we finally got all six bolts started, the install was easier from there. The install video on etrailer.com's website was a nice guide. It gave me confidence in believing I didn't have to hire out the install. 538975

2018 Pathfinder: Fit and product construction was pretty good; there were a couple of modifications I had to make underneath (cut away some excess plastic from some part) in order to get the holes to line up. I will say that the six mounting bolts provided with the kitdid not want to thread easily; the manufacturer should check that on the 2018. I re-used four of the mounting bolts that came off the towing mount that I had to remove to put on the hitch, and those threaded very easily. The two I used from the kit that came with the hitch were very difficult to set. I'd recommend removing the tow mount and taking one of those bolts to the hardware store to get a couple more exactly like them, and tossing the ones that came with the kit. 451581

Order and delivery were very good. The packaging wasn't the greatest as the one side poked through the cardboard box but it was free, and it's a hitch that will get nicked up anyway. Two lock washers were missing and there were two extra flat washers but had lock washers on hand so no big deal. The thing I'm discouraged with and read reviews before purchasing was the hands free lift gate not being affected (other than having to kick to either side). It doesn't work at all. I called customer service and they said the sensor may need to be recalibrated if the hitch was installed on a lift. Ironically, my father has a lift in his garage and that's how we installed it. I'm waiting on direction. Overall, great for the price. 515364

Comments

I have been in contact with my technical representatives at Draw-Tite they have informed us that with hitch installed, the sensor range is limited to the areas just below the exhaust on your Infiniti QX60. To activate the sensor it becomes a straight front to back rapid soccer ball kicking type of motion.

Etrailer's service is great, but For a 2014 Pathfinder this product is a complete pain. First of all, the existing tow hook on a '14 is secured with 4 bolts, not two. My car had no rust or corrosion, but it still required a breaker bar to get them loose. Then the real fun begins. The three bolt holes where the old tow hook was are readily accessible, but two of the other three are literally behind the exhaust pipe. This means you'll need to move the pipe over-it will-to access one, but for the other unless you have a hinged socket head you'll never access it with your torque wrench. With all these exceptions, the process was OK. I have no idea whose Pathfinders have factory tow hooks secured with 2 bolts... 380281

Installation was easy and straightforward, once I got the bolt holes cleaned out. If your vehicle is older then a few years, and specially if you live where it snows often, you will have to do some work on the mounting holes to clean them out, so make sure you have some liquid wrench or WD40 or other similar product to clean out the gunk so the bolts go in. Mine were really rusted and gunked up, so I ran a 12m tap thru the holes to make sure the threads were clean and good to go (The bolt size and thread measure is in the hitch's hardware list so you can get the correct one for your vehicle). Once I got the threads all cleaned out it took all of 20 minutes to get the hitch bolted up and good to go! 519766

Perfect fit ment. Install instructions were not completely clear but the informational video on the site for my particular vehicle cleared up any issues I had. Had to removed the factory tow hook, wasn’t in the paper instructions but was covered in the video. Install took about 30 minutes by myself. 544113

Excellent product. Fit Infiniti QX60 perfectly. Installation was easy, but some notes. When installing the new hardware, clean out the existing tap holes extremely well. Wire brush and spray. Check to ensure that you can insert the new hardware/screws before beginning. This cost me the most time due to rust build-up in only a year (in New England). Initially, I thought that screws with a different pitch/thread had been shipped, but turned out not to be the case. My 12 year old son assisted with the installation. We mounted a board on a floor jack and then put the hitch onto that board.....wheeled it under the vehicle, jacked it up....made it much easier to insert hardware. 407014

Very easy to do business with etrailer. Receiver hitch was delivered earlier than expected. Installed easily after cleaning the threads on my vehicle. They were rusted and corroded from being exposed to road elements. I purchased the receiver to use with a bike rack and it holds the rack very securely. It is low profile enough that it doesn't stick out or reduce clearance. Also, did not have to worry about making any modifications to accommodate the receiver. 358708

On my 2017 Infiniti QX60, the hitch didn't clear the evaporative canister housing. I had to use a little fine toothed craft saw to cut about 3/16" off of the corner of the plastic enclosure flange. It did no harm. Maybe all the cars aren't built exactly the same. There was no way the hitch would bolt on without doing that. Otherwise it looks great and doesn't interfere with the motion activated liftgate. The etrailer and DrawTite stickers were haphazardly applied. They were easy to move to the back of the hitch. It looks much better without them. I did it by myself using a floor jack to hold the hitch up, but a helper would have worked better. 414470

Comments

It works great and looks better than the factory option. Its also much less expensive. The only issue, which there may not be an easy fix for, is the rust line that forms around the opening where the bike rack slide in and out.

Rick M - 08/03/2018

41881

It is a good idea to remove the bike rack from the hitch when not in use to avoid rusting. When you remove the bike rack check for any scratches in the hitch receiver. If you notice scratches touch them up with rust inhibiting spray paint. Also if your hitch receiver or bike rack is exposed to salt on the roads, spraying it off periodically with fresh water will help to prevent rusting.

Fits nicely and looks great. Only minor issues were a couple of bolts with effects on there. Simple fix if you look to make surgery threads are clean. Can't wait to take the seadoos to the lake and mountains while riding comfortable. 563258

2017 Infiniti QX60

The product itself has been excellent and I would have given it five stars, however, installation was not as easy as reads on site. There is a piece on the Infinity that must be removed prior to installation but you can’t remove it with a normal wrench or even power drill. After lots of crawling under the car and a bench wrench I realized you must have an pneumatic tool to remove (which defeats the self installation). Fortunately I took the car to the dealership and they were willing to remove the tie down piece for free. I was then able to install the mount without problem and it has been a great product. 496989

2015 Nissan Pathfinder

Good Value, easy to install I have a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder S edition without the factory hitch and this fit right on perfectly. I used it once already with a cage attachment but do plan on towing some mid size trailers from t--ime to time. I'd definitely recommend cleaning out the weld nuts on the underside of the vehicle first as the video recommends either with a wire brush or pipe cleaner. A helper might be useful but I used a milk crate to prop up one side while working on the other. It seems like it'll hold up nicely over time by keeping it clean and maintaining the bolts. 389981

2014 Nissan Pathfinder

Installed on a Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid 2014. The excellent installation video is what convinced me I could install this myself. I bought a Tekton pressure torque wrench, socket set (#19 is required to install the hitch), and an extension bar set. The extension bar set is crucial for the muffler side. I could not get the torque wrench in the space to tighten the bolts without the extension set. Once I figured out all the parts needed, it was very easy to install. Took me 20 minutes. I saved a lot of money doing this myself and added some good tools to my set as well. 192902

This hitch was incredibly simple to install! I did run into a small problem with the weld nuts being full of rust and grime, but etrailer came through with a video on how to clean everything and get things working properly. Because of the weld nut issue, it took longer than expected, but after the cleaning, it was a breeze. As mentioned before, it is so much easier with two people also. I got everything prepped and then my wife came out to help hold the hitch up as I put in two bolts on the one side and then she was able to leave (took her maybe 2-3 minutes). 274929

Ordered this product on a Tuesday and it was delivered on Wednesday, standard shipping, however it was significantly bent. UPS had clearly dropped it, the box was opened and had a hole in it. Contacted eTrailer and they immediately shipped out another, along with getting me the RMA info and made the return as easy as possible. The new tow hitch was to me the next day, along with follow up from the office. This is the second time I've purchased from eTrailer and won't be the last. Great service, good prices and good shipping rates. 201512

Love it ! It worked for our 2015 Nissan Pathfinder S. Easy to install and etrailers and Youtube provide great installation guide! My 13yrs son helped me out, he wanted to give me a hand and it was great experience for him. He did most of the installation with my guide. I showed him how to use our borrowed digital torgue wrench as well. To help us out, we did use a floor jack to help hold a lot of the hitch's weight. We recommend this product, very easy to install, no need to have someone else install it. 469789

This hitch receiver is perfect for my 2015 Pathfinder, matching its towing capability. With this installed, I was able to haul a piano and other furniture 1400 miles cross-country. What sold me on this receiver though was the accompanying installation video. Seeing how little work it took (my Pathfinder had pre-drilled bolt holes) gave me the confidence that I could install it on my own. Otherwise I was looking at hundreds of dollars more to have have a dealership install one. 399293

2016 Nissan Pathfinder

Almost an easy install for my 2016 Nissan Pathfinder. The only problem I had was the initial screwing in the bolts while holding up the hitch. My advice is to try screwing the bolts in the holes before installing the hitch. For some apparent reason, it was difficult for the bolts to catch the threads of the hole. This hitch installation was a much cheaper route than the dealership and the other hitch place. 512228

2014 Nissan Pathfinder

for my 2014 Pathfinder; the bolt pattern fit exactly, the instructions were easy to follow; it does take two people or.. I used a jackstand and a floorjack... to help get it into place for the first couple of bolts. The new bolts, although 18mm threads take a 3/4 socket. A 18mm socket is good for removing the old bolts on the tow hook, but the new bolts have a slightly larger head. Unit fits nicely. 437273

Between the videos and quick email responses you would be a fool not to buy from here. These guys are awesome and even if you found it elsewhere for less I assure the customer support is far and beyond anything else. Last hitch I bought for a different car from another supplier the video was of a similar vehicle but not quite. These guys had my make and model and step by step. no guesswork. 398079

Product came as ordered and 1 day sooner than expected. Shipping company damaged the box and the hitch was sticking out of it, but luckily no damage. It took me about 15 minutes to install and I did it myself lying on the ground. Easy installation on the 2016 Pathfinder. Nothing really in the way that needs to be moved, except for the tie down bracket, which unbolts in about 2 minutes. 278119

Overall the hitch is great. Still no rust. solid mount, easy to install. One problem. mounting holes for the cable connections did not line up with the holes on the recommended 7way mounting plate, sold seperately. Did not like the way the connector is exposed to environment, hangs really low. Actually broke off within the first few weeks. Now have it zip tied to hitch frame. 476020

Ask the Experts about this Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch
Do you have a question about this Trailer Hitch?

  • Recommended Maximum Towing Capacity of 2013 Nissan Pathfinder
  • The actual towing capacity of a vehicle is a function of both the vehicle itself, as rated by the auto maker based on the specific equipment included, and of the particular hitch that is installed. Although all the hitches we offer for your 2013 Pathfinder are the 2-inch Class III type, these have varying towing capacities. For instance, Curt # C13126 is rated for 4000-lbs towing, but if used along with a weight distribution (WD) system such as the Reese # RP66084 the hitch capacity increases...

  • Is there a Wiring Mounting Bracket on the Curt # C13126 Trailer Hitch for a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder
  • Due to the profile of the Curt Class III trailer hitch # C13126, most of the hitch crossbar is recessed under the rear fascia of a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder. Therefore this hitch does not include a mounting location for trailer wiring. Since there is limited space on the hitch crossbar, a mounting bracket is not included on the hitch. Additionally, the rear fascia has to be trimmed to complete the installation of this hitch. I have included a photos showing this hitch installed on a 2013...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2013 Nissan Pathfinder
  • Given the choice between the Draw-Tite and the Curt receiver hitch for your 2013 Pathfinder, I'd lean more toward the Draw-Tite hitch for the following reasons: -The Draw-Tite # 76031 has a capacity that's higher than the other hitch. You'll be limited by the capacity of the vehicle, but the higher capacities indicate that the hitch might be a bit more durable in the long run. -The Draw-Tite hitch is a less expensive by a few dollars. I don't mind paying a bit more if there's a difference...
