Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4"

Installed on a 2005 Bonneville GXP. Car has dual exhaust out the rear. Had to lower both mufflers and also release the center exhaust pipe hanger to get enough room to swing the mufflers to the side to be able to drill the 2 additional holes. Install went very easy and I did it with the rear of the car on ramps by myself in about 90 minutes. Watch the video a couple of times to avoid my mistake of installing the new rear muffler hangers upside down which was an easy fix (pipes were hanging too low). Once I swung the brackets around so the ears were facing up towards the trunk floor, the pipes were back in their original position (which was in the video) and the job was done. Don't forget to get the wire spring to feed the bolt and backer bracket into the frame rail. These worked like a charm. Plan on towing a small trailer (5x8) with the car since my last car (93 Bonneville) was clobbered while parked and I needed another car to tow with and the car didn't have a hitch on it when I bought it.333553

Hitch was great, the car, not so much......used lemon..

Purchased the hitch assembly for an 05 Pontiac Bonneville GXP...... shipped same day as ordered (or next day, but very quickly) and arrived 2nd day. The day it arrives, I get a message from etrailer telling me that it arrived AND "here are some helpful install videos that might help". The videos were exactly what I ordered on a similar car. They gave me hints on how to make the install easy (how to lower the mufflers and support while installing) and demonstrated the benefit of the Fish Wire (a $x life saver). Applied to my installation in every way. Everything went just as they demonstrated. Install was easy because I knew what to expect (thanks to the videos). Very satisfied. Hitch works as it should. Install it and use. However it took two tries. Manuf issue from Draw Tite, the receiver was turned slightly when welded onto the cross frame. Not noticeable when installing a simple draw bar, but when installing a 3 ft tall bike rack, it was clearly off. Measured at 3 from vertical. Took a few calls and approval from Draw Tite to send a replacement, but all done with minimal additional pain. these guys definitely stand behind their products ! Will continue to buy from etrailer and recommend others do the same.

The delivery was super fast. The installation was easy. I am very happy with the appearance. This is my third Hidden Hitch so I knew the hitch but the guest time I've used this company. The company was great to work with. I had one little glitch but that was my error. I superimposed two numbers on my zip code and so the Debit card was declined. They contacted me immediately and do the problem was quickly resolved. I most definitely recommend this company and Hidden Hitch. I called etrailer to make sure I was getting the right hitch. It was sent out the same day and got it on day 2. The installation was a piece of cake. There installation videos are a big help. I knew just what to expect with no surprises.
I also ordered the 1/2" Bolt Leader used to fishwire bolts through the frame of vehicles. one nifty tool for only 95 cents. I would definitely buy from them again. Highly recommended.

This product came to us fast, and it was actually the correct hitch for our 2009 Buick CX! After two Part Store orders coming in that were incorrect, plus our own attempt to order the hitch through a popular website, which also was incorrect, we searched the internet and found etrailer. electronic box (anti-lock controller?) blocking one of the frame
rail access holes. I had to make my own. But, got it done.

One suggestion: eTrailer should throw-in a bolt leader/fish wire at no extra cost as I didn't realize I needed one and struggled without it.

I won't be able to put the hitch on for a few days, but this review covers 3 basic things. First, the acknowledgement via email that the hitch was being shipped came quickly. I was surprised at how well this hitch went onto my car. The only real tricky part was fishing the bolts into the frame. Other than that, it went great.
