This hitch opens up light-duty towing and accessory options. With a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening, 1,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight, and 100 lbs maximum tongue weight, it’s sized right for smaller loads like cargo trays, two-bike carriers, or small utility trailers. The Class I rating gives you a steady platform for reliable towing and hauling without overbuilding for what you don’t need.
If you like doing your own upgrades, this setup is made for that. The hitch uses a bolt-on installation—no welding required—and it comes with a complete hardware kit and step-by-step instructions. The fit is custom to the vehicle frame for precise alignment, so the mounting holes line up right where you expect them. Once installed, the round-tube design tucks up neatly under the bumper for a clean look.
The receiver is built from fully welded steel for strength and long-term durability. Every weld is precision robotic, giving consistent strength at every joint. On top of that, it’s finished with a gloss black powder coat layered over a protective base coat to hold up against rust and road grime. That finish keeps the hitch looking good and performing strong through everyday use.
The receiver works with standard 1-1/4" ball mounts, bike racks, and cargo carriers rated for Class I use. A drawbar, pin, and clip are sold separately so you can choose the setup that fits your gear best. When paired with compatible towing accessories, this hitch makes practical hauling simple and dependable every time you need it.

Just fine. I use it to put my hitch bike rack. Lift the hatch without tilting it.

Hitch works great. Because the car is so small and there is not a lot of room, it does touch the muffler and it rattles, but given that Honda probably never envisioned a hitch on a CRZ Ill take it. Love the convenience of being able to carry one bike.

The hitch receiver works well for both bike racks I have. I can still access the hatch easily with the rack installed.
