Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this weld-on steel hinge. This is a 5 5/6 just under six inch long steel hinge if we are not counting that grease zerk there. If we do count the grease zerk, right about 6 1/4 of an inch. If we measure the thickness, you can see we do have this triangular side here that's going to create these flat edges for us to get this welded in place.
If we include that, it's right at one inch wide. If we rotate that so it's not included, right about 3/4 of an inch wide. This is going to provide support along the length of your metal door or gate. It's also gonna work great for your trailers, barbecue pits, electrical boxes and machinery doors. Because it is a weld-on installation, you are gonna be limited to mounting those two metal surfaces, but with that weld-on design, it is going to ensure that you have a nice strong hold for heavy duty permanent applications.
On the inside here, we do have our 1/2 inch diameter pin. And our bushing here is a brass construction. So it is going to be very corrosion resistant. Ensure that our hinge is going to be able to pivot on that pin. We also are gonna have that grease fitting there so it's gonna be very easy to hook up our grease gun, squirt some grease in there and keep everything lubricated so that the hinge will operate nice and easy for you.

nothing is perfect, but these did a great job of repairing the barn door on my dump trailer, wish this had been done when the previous owner tried to repair it. It's fine now.

These are really nice hinges. Very sturdy and heavy. I did have issues with the shipping of these where the shipping packaging was not durable enough for parts not to fall out. Etrailer did take care of the shipping problem, and got me replacements.
I purchased the hinges to replace some on my trailer gate. They worked great, and now I can remove the gate easily.

Thank you for your quick response to my phone call. Yesterday I received
the hinges for the trailer. The claim from the USPS was that the package
was damaged during shipping. I find it odd since the so-call damaged parts
never arrived but I did receive the empty package the part was shipped in.
I guess they needed the part.

These hinge parts worked great for replacement of the old hinges.
Quality hinges I used on an aluminum gate. Weld on hinges work well and can be easily greased. As always fair price and quick shipping from etrailer.
