Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at this elevated spring latch for your trailer tailgates. It's got two holes for bolting it into place and a 1/4 inch thick stainless steel pin. Now, this is gonna be for the right-hand side of your trailer. We do carry a left-hand option as well.
That's sold separately. And you can find that item number on the page here. As you can see, it's a spring loaded latch, so it will secure your trailer tailgates, ramps, and even doors, by simply having the pin go into a hole or another apparatus of your choice. It's easy to use in tight, awkward spaces. It's a raised bracket, so if you need it to go higher or something, you can do that.
Depending on how you mount it, it's gonna be how it's gonna be facing. Bolt on installation hardware sold separately if you don't already have some. It's a rust-proof stainless steel. Overall from end to end, I got 5 1/4 inches long. It's a 1/4 thick pin.
The nine holes on center are two inches. The bracket is 3 1/2 inches long by 7/8 inches wide. Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
