If you want a neat look when you’re not towing, this base plate keeps things tidy. The brackets sit far back on the frame for a low-profile finish, and once the drawbars are removed, the remaining mounts are virtually invisible. Because they’re tucked behind the grille, they stay protected from scrapes and road debris while preserving your vehicle’s original appearance.
When it’s time to hook up, the direct-connect arms slide in, twist to lock, and click securely into place. Built-in pull rings make removal just as easy—pull to release, twist back, and slide out. The design eliminates the need for a quick-disconnect crossbar and connects directly to your motor-home-mounted Roadmaster tow bar for a cleaner setup that saves time during every hitch-up.
This kit bolts directly to the frame for solid towing strength without any welding. Each bracket is computer-cut from all-steel stock and finished with a black powder coat that stands up to corrosion. It’s designed to spread loads evenly through the chassis so it feels stable and secure mile after mile of flat towing.
Installation is simple with no welding required. The kit comes complete with mounting hardware and clear instructions so you can line everything up accurately and get a snug fit on your first go. Once installed, connecting your Roadmaster motor-home-mounted tow bar—like the Nighthawk, Sterling, Blackhawk, Blackhawk 2, Falcon, or Falcon 2—is quick and intuitive every time you hit the road.

I’ve pulled the Chevy behind our motor home several times over a the last year. It has worked excellent. And when not in tow the tubing is barely noticeable.

Which trim is your 2026 Chevy Trax? Per Roadmaster, the # RM25EQ (523228-5) fits all trims of the 2026 Trax except the ACTIV trim....
