Question:
I have a Buick GX AWD with the Sport Touring package. In conversations with the dealer, I asked them why there would be a problem that would prevent a towbar base plate from fitting a GX with the Sport Touring package Vs a GX without the package they are baffled. They say the only difference in the front of the car is the red accents on the grille. Can you double-check and find out the reasoning behind excluding the Sport Touring option?

Expert Reply:
The lower grille of the ST package is shaped differently and that's where the base plate kits come through so that's why there's an issue.
So for the time being you could tow it with a dolly like the part # RM-2050-1 and you'd be good since the front grille doesn't affect the fit on a dolly.
