Getting to your gear is fast thanks to the spring-loaded retractable design. Just squeeze the pinch grips under the rear plate and the cover automatically retracts into the canister at the front of the bed. The built-in pull strap makes closing it just as easy. It slides smoothly along the tracks and latches at the tailgate, keeping everything in reach without hassle.
When you need to haul large or tall cargo, the whole cover can be removed by one person in about 10 minutes using only a wrench and screwdriver. The canister and rails come off without drilling, so you can switch between full bed use and secured storage quickly. Reinstalling it takes about the same time, giving you flexibility for workdays or weekends.
The deck combines a black vinyl top layer with heavy-duty aluminum panels, blending the smooth look of a soft cover with the strength of a hard one. A foam seal under the rails and a large rear seal help keep out rain and debris, while drain tubes in the canister funnel water through the bed floor. The angled canister design also protects the retracted cover from the elements so it lasts longer.
The cover stays locked when the tailgate is closed, so there’s no need for a separate lock. With the pinch grips and pull strap tucked under the rear plate, they’re inaccessible until the tailgate opens. The rigid aluminum slats resist cutting or prying, adding a solid layer of protection for tools, gear, and valuables.
The low-profile rails sit just 1/8" above the bed sides for a flush, aerodynamic appearance. That streamlined shape reduces wind drag and can help improve fuel efficiency. The sleek vinyl-grain finish gives a seamless look that blends with the truck’s lines while keeping everything inside clean and covered.

This is the best tonneau cover I’ve ever owned. It’s more expensive than your standard vinyl cover, but it’s worth every penny. The installation was super easy and it looks and functions fantastic. Yes, you do need to lubricate the rails this concept of the need to lubricate moving parts seems to be lost on a number of the other reviewers. I recommend a spray silicone lubricant on a rag and wipe the length of the rails. This is something you’ll need to do about every two months. It takes a couple of minutes and it instantly restores the cover to its ability to spring retract on its own. You’ll also need to inspect the rail leveling screws from time to time and possibly tighten them if they’re not level. This is another potential reason for retraction issues. A year later I have absolutely zero issues and nothing but good things to say about this cover. Reading the reviews of some having issues, it seems to me that most of the issues I see come down to poor installation or lack of maintenance.

It has worked out phenomenally well. Installation takes 5-10 minutes, once you know what youre doing in case you have to remove for a large load and need the entire bed. There is a little bit of water getting in between the gaps of the tailgate. This is due to the power pressure washers at the carwash. However, snow and rain does not get it. A little bit of dust does get in due to the aforementioned gaps. Overall, fantastic cover. Very happy I got it. Much better than the tri-fold ones.

Update: Purchased in July 2025, it is now September 8th 2025, so basically 2 months since installed. The cover will not retract all the way. Called the manufacturer for warranty. I basically have to remove the cover and inspect the spring assembly. They will then send out a new spring assembly that I will need to install myself. This will require a fair amount of my time, which I am not happy about. This unit should not fail in two months, especially with very limited use. I would have preferred them to send a new cartridge that I could put in the truck for ease of repair. They dont care about the customer experience, apparently. Do better Pace Edwards!

A year later and the cover is still working great. I do have to say that it leaks like a sieve at the tailgate, but that’s the only issue. It’s hard coming from a tri-fold that completely covers the bed and kept water out, but the benefits still outweigh this one con. It’s holding up great and still slides flawlessly. I probably don’t lubricate it quite as much as I should, but the few times I’ve done it has helped it slide like new again.

Ive had this Tonneau cover for over a year now and Im still completely satisfied. It looks great and functions remarkably well. My daughter paid about the same for her dealer to install a cheaper fabric cover on her new Ram before I bought this one and now wishes she would have bought this one instead. If you buy this one you wont regret it!
